I’ve been in this establishment for at least a few times and really love the taste of the chicken. This chicken shop serves all sorts of chicken especially their Hainan Chicken.

I’ve never been in one location that has its own place since I usually go to the one that’s in 99 Ranch Market at Fremont. I decided to go to this location for an experience inside its own place.

Would not wanna miss out and so I got Split 2. The grilled chicken is seasoned well and the Hainan chicken tastes as authentic. The chicken rice really hits the spot. It’s like they mixed the chicken broth and white rice all together, which am unsure if that’s the case.

It’s a really good lunch spot and might be good for dieting since it has grilled chicken and brown rice as well as the salad on the side without any sauces.

Honestly would hope that they included an option to not include the skin, but that’s ok. I think I remember ordering one type of chicken only and there is an option to remove skin, but doesn’t show up on “Split 2” selection. If I have to make a suggestion, they should add that part.

Also, this location or probably the establishment doesn’t accept cash payments.

Looks for some chicken and rice? This is the spot. The rice is flavorful and goes perfect with the chicken. I gave the grilled chicken a go and it was so flavorful it didn’t even need the sauce that comes on the side. But don’t skip on the sauces as they are great.

This branch of Chicken Meets rice is relatively new. We spent a weekday January afternoon here and it was very quiet. The location is not particularly exciting, just by San Jose airport, but could be convenient when in the area. The food was decent. The bathrooms were clean. Nice drinks.

I went to Chicken Meets Rice near my house on a Saturday noon, having lunch solo. The place is clean, bright, airy, nice feelings, good music. The ordering process is easy to understand, the price is fair ($18.3 for one chicken rice dish & soup), the food is good. Happy & would visit again!

Busy at lunchtime on a weekday. A lot of takeout orders. There is a cool board so you can see where your order is on the queue. We ordered Hainese chicken with rice as well as the grilled chicken. Both came with the rice flavored, a broth and sauces for the chicken. It was tasty. Next visit we will try fried chicken and wings. Service was efficient.

This review is primarily for the amazing guy behind the counter. He wears glasses and was the kindest soul ever. I was wrapping up lunch and took my leftovers to go, coupled with my coffee I bought from there (super yummy!). As I was getting into the car, I accidentally spilled coffee ALL OVER the seats. Beige, mind you. U ran back into the store asking for napkins and immediately this kind soul was like oh, let me go get some cloths and clean it up for you! I’m like “clean my car???” And I said I got it so I took the cloths and cleaned up the mess I made (thank god he offered me these cloths as oooosed to napkins). Went back in the store to thank him for the cloths and then he asked if I got the coffee from the shop and I was like yeah and was going to walk away when he opened the fridge and gave me a brand new one from the fridge! What a thoughtful person! Will absolutely come back again

We always like this restaurant’s Hainan Chicken Rice. However, we did a to-go order tonight with all dark meat with no skin.

However, the order is wrong with white meat in it after opening the box. We don’t like white meat at all. It’s too troublesome and too late to drive back to exchange.

Don’t trust this place for to-go orders. Friday dinner is ruined and we are super disappointed.

Love this place for their juicy dark meat chicken with skin, deeply flavorful chicken rice and scallion oil and hot broth. Best chicken rice I’ve had that comes close to Singapore. Price is something out of our control these days mostly so that’s hard to compare to overseas. But the portion is ok and service is quick and friendly. Can get busy during peak hours but there is usually enough seating inside. Parking lot is small but there are usually spots so parking hasn’t been an issue.

The best chicken rice I’ve ever had outside of Singapore.

This place has incredible chicken rice. On the kiosk, I ordered dark meat, with skin, with chicken broth, and a container of Singapore soy sauce. The chicken was perfectly poached. It was tender and just wonderful. The rice was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The broth was perfectly salted and tasted great; I had the whole cup all at once. The Singapore soy sauce seemed to be soy sauce diluted with chicken broth. I used about half the container. I appreciated the shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, and cilantro on the side.

I also ordered some fried chicken skin, because I’ve never had it. It came in a wax paper bag and had a strong chicken-y smell. The skin was like pork rinds but chicken. For my drink, I had a can of coconut water. My total after tax, before tip was $23.98, which felt fair for what I got.

Here’s why I’m taking a star off: I saw and heard two employees bullying a third employee for wearing a mask. There were two guys, one with a cap and one with a beard, and they continued to comment on a female employee who was wearing a mask.

I loved the food here. It brought a smile to my face. However, some of the employees need to grow up.
