Ah Chicken Express, brings back memories of happiness. Every Friday, I would get up early to go fishing and later that evening have a fish fry, with corn nuggies, fries, & sweet tea that would bake in the sun to get that sweet taste (it’s something my aunt used to do).
Now those times have came and left, I can now rely on Chicken Express to satisfy my needs. Although I do miss the country life, CE fried fish is fried to perfection. With its golden, flaky white ahhh… meat. You know it came from one of these oceans over here.
The corn nuggets are so delicious. If you never had them get them, you will not be disappointed. We used to get them at the grocery store in the country.
The rolls are as good as Grandma’s hands to make em. Good & sweet! Oh Grandma… do I miss you, oh so much!!
And the gizzards, reminds of my old bowling coach, Mr. Wilson! You know Mr. Wilson when he used to say, “y’all stop playing grab butt” & “I kid you not”. He let me try my first gizzard when he dropped me off at home from the tournament and offered some his wife had made. Mr. Wilson, wasn’t just my bowling coach, but he was also my biology teacher in highschool & track/field coach!

The prices are low & won’t put your wallet in a bind, like everything else nowadays.

Food is really good, the spicy Chicken tenders are crispy and juicy and the spicy flavor at the end is the best. Likewise, the chicken had the perfect texture, everything was very fresh, especially the rolls with butter. The only bad thing is that we waited 20 minutes for the food even though it was drive-thru.

The staff here is always welcoming and friendly. The food is what it is, and I enjoy it. Them opening at 10:30AM is helpful as well. My wife is able to make orders online and I can just pick it up. The whole process is simple and the staff seems to always be on a good mood.

I went to Chicken Express recently to pick up dinner to have while on night shift, and was informed they were only taking cash payments. While initially an inconvenience, I decided to get cash from my bank down the road and went back to the restaurant to order food. It was one of the best meals I’ve had from there, and the staff was very kind and apologetic. I’ll definitely be going back and will keep emergency cash on me next time in case their systems are down again.

Chicken Express did not depress! I kept getting told by friends to come here. Not the most appetizing looking signs, but the food was great. I ended up ordering the spicy fried chicken tenders and they were fire! Kind of like a Popeyes flavor, but better. The gravy that came with it was good too. Nothing homemade or anything, but it did taste decent (better than any other fast food gravy). Mashed potatoes and gravy were decent. The mac and cheese was delish, but the noodles were crumbled to pieces. The biscuit was okay. The sweet tea was pretty good. But the star of the show in my opinion was their rolls. They were so freaking delicious! I’m going to have to come back for just rolls and chicken in the future. Nice employee as well. I’m glad I finally ate here!

We all have seen and read horror stories about the service one can expect at a fast food restaurant…. I am so very pleased to say you do not have to worry about that ever happening at this location of Chicken Express. – every single time I have gone there, the staff is so beyond courteous, the managers are always pleasant and friendly, and they’re genuinely happy to have you in as a customer.

I wish they had a closer one in Houston. I love Chicken Express. It’s my favorite amongst other fried chicken chains. Their chicken is always so fresh and juicy. I stopped by this location as I was in the area to meet someone.
My entire order came out super hot, especially the crinkle cut fries. Hooray!

Went through the drive-through, the person taking the orders was extremely rude to begin with asking questions with attitude then, when I asked her if she could understand what we were saying because of the speaker, she got ugly and was rude to us in the drive-through and then was saying ugly little comments under her breath- but into the mic so i could still hear it! We will not be back! With so many options for food in this area, you would think people would treat their customers with respect!!!!!! Additionally ,they were playing around and acting so stupid in the kitchen, screaming and cutting up, we could hear them through the windows of our cars and the walls of the building! Absolutely trash!

We stopped by Chicken Express today and left smiling! The team there really knows how to treat people right. When there was a little hiccup with our order, they didn’t just fix it — they made sure we felt genuinely cared for.
The manager was wonderful — she listened, smiled, and made us feel like we were regulars, even though it was our first visit. The place was spotless, the food was hot, and my kids couldn’t stop giggling at the cute chicken art on the walls.
