The thing about Chicken Express is that they focus on the important things. Their locations are aways minimalist. The menu is small. They don’t waste energy on stupid slogans or tell stupid stories about dogs. They just casually deliver excellent food at a decent price.

Driving through and was excited to have lunch there as I love their food. Went to bathroom first and decided not to eat there. So disgusting. How could some place have bathrooms that gross is beyond me. If you don’t take care of the place I can’t trust your doing right with the food.

Great place to have a really good meal in a very clean atmosphere & friendly service. Wish we had something like this in Pearland, we have nothing that’s a comparable establishment that can even come close in every way. When I’m in the area I’d definitely revisit.

Fairly nice place to go, even though most of the time the restrooms lack a little bit of attention weight staff is always courteous, friendly and helpful and generally, the dining area is clean. Handicap access is good and occasionally there’s a special.

My husband ordered the liver meal and the batter and the livers was so crumbly that you couldn’t pick them up to eat without it breaking into pieces. I believe they refried these livers a couple of times to keep them “FRESH” (NOT)…. until someone ordered them.

Quick and hot. Visible kitchen area was very clean. Employees looked clean and not sloppy. It was about 230pm and the kitchen was freshly mopped, felt good about ordering for my husband there. I’m allergic to wheat (when eaten) so there was nothing here I could have, except for drinks. Sweet tea was yummy southern style.

I went through the drive-through so I can’t really say about the atmosphere. The girl working the drive-through, was very pleasant and seem to enjoy her job, which made it enjoyable for me to go there. The food was excellent. I usually steer clear of chicken express because it’s kind of pricey, but these days what is not pricey? I got the four piece chicken strip, half spicy half regular corn on the cob, a roll and white gravy and a drink for $10. The spicy tenders were really spicy in a good way and the non-spicy ones were really good in a non-spicy way. They have sweet baby rays honey mustard, and barbecue. The roll was really good. if my budget allows it, I will return.
Oh, heads up, my friend wanted me to pick her up a three-piece dark spicy bone in chicken, but they only have spicy in the tenders. She also got a biscuit, mashed potatoes and gravy and a side of corn nugget things and of course a DP. Hers was $14.08.
I wonder if they have an app where you can get points to get discounts or if they have any kind of discount program that would be nice. Also, the Coke and the Dr Pepper tasted very good as opposed to some fountain drinks in and around Bay City since most places don’t seem to use filters on their water or soda fountains. Seems like Matagorda county has the worst water I’ve ever drank in my whole life. But at least it’s not green like where I live in Sargent. Obviously I don’t drink Sargent water.
