Chicken Express, After almost a decade of experience under another franchise, the Stuart’s launched the Chicken Express name in March 1988 in Benbrook, TX and in October 1988 in Mineral Wells, TX–the home base for Chicken Express. Residing in Mineral Wells the Stuart’s expanded the Chicken Express name and product originally by being one of the very first fast food chicken delivery businesses, making their slogan “our chicken can’t fly, so we deliver.” The delivery business was very successful for spreading the word and product, so in 1990 until 1994 all new franchises utilized the dine-in, drive-thru, or “delivery” concept.

Absolutely love chicken Express, the chicken is fried perfectly crispy and is so very yummy, my favourite side is the corn bites and the yummy fries.

Stopped by on 8-26-25 Met the owner who was an awesome person. Fresh Chicken, fresh corn nuggets. Very clean store, Very helpful employees and managers. Super fast service. Very affordable prices. Got treated like royalty, will definitely come back. Super highly recommended this location. Im an over the road truck driver and they have truck parking in the rear. If not next to taco bell next door.

My order wasn’t fully finished before the server brought the food to the drive through window. He brought me my bag. Then left and brought me my drink then left. Then came back my fries then left and came back with my chicken. I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of the chicken before eating it…I also order the fish fillet. the food was good but I would just recommend them to check to make sure they complete the order before handing the customer the bag.

I always enjoy stopping at this Chicken E, and I consider it to be one of the better ones in the chain. The food here is always fresh and tasty, which sometimes isn’t the case at other stores. Never fear stopping here though, as their chicken is the best around. My favorite is the spicy chicken strips. They always have the right amount of heat. The employees here are always friendly and go the extra mile for their customers.

Overcooked, dry and stale. A total waste of money.
