We went through the drive thru and ordered a #2 (7 piece tenders, a side, a biscuit or roll, and a drink). However to our surprise we were told that they were not going to be dropping more chicken tenders even though they had them because they were “closing soon” however the restaurant doesn’t close until 10 pm and it was only 9:15 or so. She then informed me that they do in fact have tenders I said perfect I’ll have a #2, and mashed potatoes with no gravy. Guess what I got. Gravy on my mashed potatoes. How are you gonna suck so bad at a job this easy. Like you know who you are lady and you definitely deserve your job.

Had order delivered from Doordash. Could smell the stench from the fried pickles when I opened the bag. Not sure what happened here but it is not what you expect from Chicken Express. Items should never leave the kitchen if they aren’t cooked properly. Gave two stars because the chicken and fish was cooked well.

I compared price and quality with the Popeyes across the street and have decided that the chicken express had better value for the same selection costing 4.50 less than the other store for the same item. There is a better selection of sides at chicken express and the meal was served more quickly than the restaurant across the street.

I think y’all need to do drug test on your employees. My family and I went to your restaurant for lunch and the lady behind the counter was very obviously on some type of drug. Her pupils were dilated she was chewing on the bottom of her lip and she was very loud she was not wearing a name tag she is really short had her hair in a bun I think they called her Nikki I’m just saying if you’re going to serve food then maybe you should have your employees drug tested. I don’t want nobody on drugs touching my child’s food

Less than one star. I called my order in because I have a large family, so it was a big order. The poor service started there. I got there to pick it up 30 minutes later, they handed me a number, then BEGAN to cook my meal. After waiting 32 more minutes I received my order. My okra was burnt and I have never seen chicken legs this small in my life. Never again will I spend my money there!!!! They weren’t super busy, they appeared to be adquately staffed. I was order #142 and they got to #148 before me. The drive thru was busy, but that’s why I called ahead, although they made the out to be just as pointless as these tiny drumsticks they gave us.

I ordered chicken strips on 3/28/23. I guess the fry grease was burned because the chicken tasted horrible with a strong burnt flavor. Of course i was home when we discovered it. I attempted to send a private message to chicken express but doing so is not clear online, so im leaving a review.

We have been loyal customers for years. Always liked the food and price. HOWEVER, recently the prices have skyrocketed and the family sides have shrunken. 25 Tenders, 2 sides, and an extra side, ie, dinner for 4… $65! Driving down the road to Popeyes now.

Horrible customer service I will never eat here at the Nacogdoches Franchise again. The food you eat here is never fresh and they get mad if you ask them politely cook it fresh. Someone should shut this place down. I will get my chicken from Popeyes from now on, RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET.
