I tried ordering through the drive through last Saturday 1/17 probably around 4:45 and whoever was taking my order had absolutely no customer service skills and was extremely rude and hateful I asked for extra gravy and she was like IT ALREADY comes with GRAVY!! was rude the entire order and I told her I know I want to buy an extra one! And then at the end of the order she sighed and scuffed and told me my total didn’t ask if I wanted anything else. I drove off and ate elsewhere that was completely uncalled for.

After a 36-hour shift responding to a traumatic mass casualty event, I stopped to grab a quick meal. An older lady noticed my uniform and kindly offered to pay for my dinner. I politely declined, but the store manager then came over and said the meal was on her personally. That small gesture meant the world to me—it brought tears to my eyes knowing how much support my team and I have. Being a supervisor in hazmat response isn’t easy, but moments like this make it all worth it. Thank you for your kindness and for supporting us during recovery efforts. I ate here a few months ago and the service was great, but I ate here again today and can say the service has went WAY DOWNHILL since that previous experience. Took about 15 minutes for them to complete my order (only ordered a combo meal). They weren’t busy at all, just 2 other patrons in their dining room and maybe 3 cars at best in their drive thru lane. Their soda machine had 3 post it notes over 3 separate flavors indicating they were out. More than likely due to employee laziness of not wanting to replace the beverages. I asked for dipping sauce, and the sauce that was given to me, was barely dippable due to it barely reaching thawing temperature. One employee was playing with his cellphone in the kitchen area while clearly on duty. I’ve been to many Chicken Express locations, but have never seen any with conditions this subpar. Management doesn’t seem to care what their employees do, as long as they exert minimalist effort to complete each required task. The work ethic here is non-existent. I feel like I should’ve received some level of compensation for my unreasonably long wait time, when I could clearly see no viable reason for my order to have taken so long. For everything I have witnessed that was wrong, I can only fathom what other horrors likely exist for what I can not see. Avoid this place. Eat elsewhere.

I arrived at the spot at 9:00 PM sharp on 10/01/25, only to discover the doors locked one hour before the posted closing time. The employees inside saw me and intentionally ignored me when attempted to get their attention. When I finally knocked on the door, I was still ignored but someone came shortly after. they stated they were “closed” because they’d already threw everything out. This is unacceptable the business is clearly listed as closing at 10 PM, and was even still able to place an order online for pickup at that precise time. The staff lied and closed early rather than observing the posted hours, this is untruthful and unprofessional. The brand is poorly represented at this particular location and the employees show no concern for customers or even carrying out their duties correctly.

This restaurant has been here a very long time. When they first opened they excelled and didn’t disappoint. They declined and we quickly went elsewhere. Fast forward to today… the excellent service, the excellent food with the hospitality, not to mention the clean environment ..has more than returned!
I love chicken livers… not everyone’s dish, I realize…. But these were cooked exactly like I like them today! The coleslaw was exceptional and I couldn’t find fault in the other sides either! It was a very tasty surprise and I would encourage those who’ve been disappointed by this establishment in the past to give them another try!!! Thank you Chicken Express for the delicious and perfectly fixed liver meal!
PS. My wife is making happy sounds over her chicken too!

We dropped in to Chicken Express needing to feed a crew of 25+. Their large family meals were a perfect solution! We really appreciate the crew members who helped take and prepare our order!! Super friendly & super fast!!

Read a bunch of reviews. I still chose to see for myself. I went in to order, because of driving a delivery van. I washed my hands in their clean men’s bathroom. I ordered the 2 piece fillet with Okra for the side. Waited about 5 minutes for fresh fillets. The customer service was fine, restaurant looked clean. The Okra seemed just a bit over cooked, but overall I would come back again if ever in town during lunch…

Going to the trouble of putting an unsweetened label on the lid doesn’t mean anything if you don’t make sure that unsweetened tea actually gets in the cup. Between the order mistakes and the indifferently prepared chicken compared to other Chicken Expresses, it does not appear this place has the best management.
