Gizzards and livers so over cooked they shatter when you bite them. Fries were cold and taste like fish, okra taste disgust also like fish. The register lady was super sweet, her coworkers left a lot to be desired. All in, it was awful. We went to Braums instead. My first and probably last experience with this restaurant!!! Can not recommend this place, the food wasn’t edible or palatable…..

We come to Chicken Express because my wife likes chicken livers. The trouble is that they are only good if they are fresh from the fryer. So that means we always have to wait for our “fast food”. Most of the time I enjoy dark meat pieces. The ones I had here were overcooked to the point of being dry white meat.
I think it is underhand to charge extra for credit card use without posting it prominently at the point of sale. Business owners who feel like they must make this charge should consider that back in the days of checks, they had a certain amount of bad check loss and their bank charged them 10 to 15 cents per check deposited in their account. Even cash has its own expenses. Management time must be spent counting and preparing it for deposit. Then there is always shrinkage.
Solution!!! Credit card users. . . Stop patronizing businesses that make those charges.

It’s always fresh it seems but it’s kind of bland except the french fries are pretty good all the time drinks usually suck customer service kid get better but at least they’re not rude

No one was in the dining room when we got there, except for a baby asleep in a stroller.There were 3 vehicles in the drive thru. We saw at least 4 employees, including one who appeared to be a manager. 3 employees looked our direction, but we were not greeted or acknowledged. We waited about 4 minutes until someone came to the register. She never spoke. No what can I get you. No sorry about the wait. Nothing. We placed our order. It came out in 8 minutes. We checked our order for accuracy before we exited the store. Everything looked good. Very, very poor customer service.

Waste of time. I go on my 30 minute lunch break and they don’t even have the side I want. I order anyway and the total is $14 for one meal, $2.50 of that being for sauce(outrageous) and after over five minutes of waiting I’m told it will be another 5 minutes. 7 minutes later I get my food and clock in late from lunch without even eating. Waste of time and money won’t be going back

I have only tried the chicken gizzards there. And let me tell you, they are delissssh! They give you great portion size as well. So a 9 pc gizzards is quite adequate to quench your hungry…unless you’re greedy. They do have larger sizes though, too.
They come with a cup size white gravy and roll or biscuit. Although, the gravy feels like a bowl size. I prefer the roll. The biscuit can be overcooked sometimes, but when cooked properly, the better option.
I also get the okra fried hard, and they do it right!
They have a full selection menu of just about everything you want to try at a full service fast food restaurant. Go to Chicken Express online and browse their menu.
I’m sure it is possible to be disappointed, but I don’t think it would be with the food!

This lady was so gross!!! She was LICKING her fingers and making our food?? We were sitting at the drive threw waiting for 30 minutes when I look over seeing this lady eating corn nuggets and messing with her tooth as she’s packing it. It was DISGUSTING! Then the lady forgot how to count change for like 5 minutes??? Like come on this is disgusting, don’t go there unless you want mouth juices in your FOOD!
