AMAZING AS ALWAYS
I’ve been coming here for years. Chicken Coop remains in the uppermost echelon of locally available fried chicken. The only place within a 20 minute radius who can even compete is Hobo’s. You have to go all the way out to the city to a place like Grace Meat + Three before you start arriving at this elite level of chicken cookery.
This was my first time at the new location. It’s nice to see these two ladies finally having some help. For years I feel like I’ve only ever seen the two of them both taking and making the orders.
The quality didn’t change at all. The new location offers the exact same, mouthwatering, fried chicken that we all grew to love and expect. 9.3/10 clucks.
I prefer the spicy breading. Doesn’t matter which part of the chicken you get. Strips or bone in. It’s all spectacular.

The Chicken is so good. Definitely a hidden gem in St Charles County. Staff is super nice and always happy to see you. Call ahead because they make chicken per order, which is great. You always get fresh chicken. Not overly breaded but a nice and flavorful skin. A no frills dining room, was an old Taco Bell, but who cares when you have great chicken.

I was visiting my mother and she ordered some chicken to go. We received a time for pick up and decided on the drive-thru to do that. That particular day the person in front of us apparently came earlier than expected, and sat at least 15 minutes waiting. They should have instructed him to park. After receiving our food, it was handed out hot

The ketchup bottle was low so it made fart noises when I tried to use it. While it was slow to cook, the food was very good. Chicken was piping hot and fresh. And, was good enough by itself that it didn’t need the help of a dipping sauce.
Edit: My total came to $14.62 however my card was charged $15.00. I know it’s only $0.38 difference but that’s not the point. Because of this I won’t come back to this place.

I would say a 7 out of 10 overall. The food was good, just not great. The dark meat 3 peice dinner wasn’t juicy. The breading has good flavor though. The gizzards are good. It’s fried food so not the best but still good.

How did I know about this place sooner! No frills eatery with great food. We had the 3 pc regular fried chicken, fried fish, gizzards, green beans, baked mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and baked beans. It started off on a good foot as steam was coming out of the box, so you knew it was fryer to box to table.
Fried chicken was on point (we wished we ordered more). Fried fish and gizzards were also very good. The batter was crispy and well seasoned, enough you could go with or without condiments. Sides were also great. Nothing fancy. Just simple and good.

Genuinely my favorite local spot, I’m so happy my fiancé introduced me to this. Staff is so nice, it’s chill and quiet, god is the food good. Crispy, juicy, this is some of the best chicken I’ve had. They were closed for a few months because they were moving but now they’re back with an actual dining area, it’s a treat every time we go. Exceptionally well priced for what you get too

We ordered fries, potato salad and two breasts. Under $12. So reasonable. Coop stayed busy the whole time we dined in. Clean tables, great location, very sweet servers. Order at the counter take a number to your table and be prepared to wait at least 15, if they are busy 20+ minutes.
You can order to-go over the phone, and they’ll let you know when it’s ready. They tell everyone the drive through is set up only for this reason ( call ahead) and it’s not an order at the tower and pick your food up when you drive around turn around. Order ahead of your pick up!

I was really in the mood for some fried chicken and decided to go out of my way and try something new. Wow am I glad I did. The food was excellent. Best fried chicken in this area easily. The sides were almost as good as the chicken. The portions were pretty generous for what you pay too. I highly recommend and I will be going back.
