Well gotta say it’s very disappointing, 2nd time we stopped in for lunch break and the orders are never right, something is always wrong or something left off the order , so if your looking to get what you order you may or may not get it. That’s been my experience twice and while I was there I seen another customer come in missing part of their order, it’s very disappointing , not to mention the tables are sticky and look just nasty. If I could post with NO stars that would be more appropriate. Went in as a first time customer and was not impressed. I ordered the “5” piece chicken fingers and fries. Waited over twenty minutes and still no food. When a customer arrived, ordered, and retrieved his food after my twenty minute wait, I was done. I am hoping it wasn’t the color of my skin tone that caused me to be overlooked. That in itself is bad because those in the kitchen were of the same skin tone. No need to worry, I will not be returning to that establishment. Thanks but no thanks!!!!

Food was VERY disappointing. I ordered 2 of the #1 combos. BBQ sandwich meals. They upcharged for the fries and the menu didn’t specify it was an upcharge. It just listed sides. The sandwiches were dry, had too much sauce and had hard pieces in the sandwich. They left our fries off of both orders. So our sandwiches got cold while waiting on the fries. The chicken tender meal was decent. Overall, we would not eat here again. Of course, we were just passing through on vacation and was looking for something off the beaten path.

I’m not in phenix city much, but i was coming from auburn and wanted some bbq so i stopped by. Got chipped sandwiches and stew. Both were really good. The chipped meat was good quality, not paste like you’ll get from other places. Good atmosphere too. Give it a try.

Been here several times. Overall good experiences. Sometimes the food is over cooked, but that’s better than under. Prices are competitive. They have delicious sauces – I like their sweet sauce, tastes great with their fingers and half chickens. Stew & potato salad is great as well.

I love this food, I have followed this business for 53 years; not a joke. They have had three different restaurants that I have know of and have purchased food from. However this latest restaurant located in Phenix city Alabama was a big disappointment not because the food wasn’t excellent it was. I know times are tough and it’s getting harder for a business to turn a profit. My only complaint is I spent 15$ for a meal and what I received was what looked like a child’s plate. Lots of bread but a very small portion of meat, the smallest portion of Brunswick stew I have ever seen and baked beans. I left hungry after eating. I’m not a huge man, 200lbs so If I leave hungry it’s pretty much a show stopper. Sad that after 53 years it’s over.
Update, I did return and what I found this time was totally different, man sized meal. I’m happy now and will come back. It’s my favorite BBQ place by far.

The food was so good. It moved from Columbus back to phinex city. The food is still GOOD. THE TEA IS GOOOD ALSO !
