Pretty solid chicken tenders with very mild seasoning. The chick sauce wasn’t bad, more mayonnaise taste than I’d personally prefer. The red beans and rice were very good for fast food. The fries were nothing special but not bad either. I’d probably get it again.

Edit: I had to come update my review. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! The customer service is awesome here. They young lady Jayla that took my order was so polite. The food was hot and delicious as usual. I drove 30 minutes out my way to come here. Highly recommend!
I came based on other reviews and so glad I did. The lady that takes the drive thru orders was so down to Earth and treated me like an old friend. Now the food itself, SO GOOD! I ordered the chicken wings and added fish on the side. It was so good. I also had red beans & rice on the side..so yummy. This is my new go to when I come to Monroe

I order a double cheese burger with no pickle and no tomatoes. I got home it had no cheese and had tomatoes and the meat was burnt and hard. Came back because they didn’t remake the burger just took the tomatoes off and threw some cheese in the burger. And my husband is allergic to tomatoes. Bad experience had to make to different trips for our food to be right.

My sister and I were rolling through town and happened to stop by this place for dinner, and it was awesome. If you want some fried Louisiana goodness, I highly recommend. The food was piping hot and fresh, I had the fish and shrimp plate which was huge (I think 2 people could easily share) and she had the shrimp poboy. We wanted okra so got the appetizer and it was also enormous so if you go, bring some extra mouths! The best part of this place was Lala who helped us. She was a total sweetheart and showed these Texas girls some real Louisiana hospitality. I highly recommend for a casual and comfy food experience!

i love the food here!! the chicken wings are an absolute favorite among many other items on the menu. i ordered the fish and shrimp plate with the red beans and rice & fries and it was amazing!! good texture and seasoning and customer service is wonderful. very nice people and service. i will definitely be going back!!

I must not have gotten the same food as the high reviewers posted or they love poor quality and disgusting food. 1st time consumer, ordered several plates with fish and shrimp, chicken and shrimp combos. The flat disgusting fish strips are frozen swai, salty, horrible soft slick texture. Shrimp were salty, thick, and tough. Cole slaw watery, tasted old. The red beans and rice was the ONLY thing decent. What’s wrong with y’all? Why do yall let anybody come into our community and sell garbage? This is garbage. Too much money wasted. Service was impeccable.

I ate here Thursday after a friend of mine told me about it which is the old Samz Eatery. The wait was only a few minutes but of course who wouldn’t want to wait when your food is cooked fresh. There was a small hiccup with my order but Ms Lala was very helpful in taking care of that the next day with no issues. I ordered the 4 piece fish combo with hush puppies and red beans and rice on the side. It also came with a roll. Everything was well seasoned and very tasty. I fell in love with the red beans and rice. They use swai fish instead of catfish so be warned if you don’t like swai. Im familiar with swai fish because I used to eat it on a regular basis. If you’ve eaten there when it was Samz then you already know how good the food is. I highly recommend giving them a try. I definitely will be going back to try other menu items.

My catfish was piping hot and fresh- the batter was the crispiest and the fish almost melted in my mouth! I have always enjoyed hush puppies with fried fish but my new friend Ms Lala convinced me to stick to the roll AND BOY did she do me right?! These things are magic and they are JUST the extra!
My kids loved their burger and I felt l good giving my big kids and baby the green beans!
Next time we’re traveling back on I20, we will certainly have to stop to visit with Ms Lala again
