(Perfect balance of sweet & savory) and the Cali
(Creamy buttermilk house made ranch) for plate #2 it was the Big Dipper that has 5 chicken strips with fries, 2 dipping sauce, texas toast and a drink. And for the dipping sauce was Hawaii and UTE
(Tangy fry sauce with a hint of garlic & black pepper) Their food and dipping sauces are really great 10 out of 10 recommend and I would give this place a 5 star. Rating
Words cannot express my love for good fried chicken. As a girl from the South I LOVE crispy fried chicken. Now I will say, I was a bit nervous that it was going to be some frozen chicken just fried up and called fresh.
Chick-N-Dips is nothing like that. It is hand battered and fried on the spot making it so juicy and perfectly crispy right when you get it. I was actually surprised to look in and see her hand dipping it right then, but impressed! Of course that means it takes a few minutes, but for homemade food that’s the price you pay and it was worth it.
Now for the sauce- the buffalo sauce was perfection. The ranch was pretty solid, nothing too crazy special, but the Ute (like caine’s sauce) was getting licked clean by my brother and fiancé.
The bread was also SO good. I wasn’t expecting thinner bread to be so good but it was covered in a generous layer of seasoning and butter that made me wanna eat 5 more.
As for the atmosphere- the umbrellas must have been broken because there were some on the sides laying down so with it blazing hot that would have been ideal, but otherwise it was fine. We just took it home with us and it was just as good eating at home (well, some of our group couldn’t handle it and devoured theirs in the car).
Service was friendly and really helpful. Didn’t catch her name, but she was awesome!
We will definitely be back!!!
The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the vibe was perfect for a vacation meal . Great for both adults and kids. We’ll definitely be back next vacation !
We pride ourselves on knowing what’s good. I will definitely say that this place is really good. The fries were really good.
I wish I had a more comfortable place to sit and eat. It was pretty hot outside and there’s no shade. I had to eat my car, which I really hate doing.
The overall experience was great.
Each sauce has its own identity, like they’re a quirky cast of characters on a reality TV show:
• Ute – The local hero. You don’t know exactly what’s in it, but it tastes like hometown pride with a little competitive sports energy.
• Hawaii – Sweet, tangy, and just chill enough to make you want to eat barefoot on a beach (minus the sand in your food).
• Texas – Bold, smoky, and a little spicy—basically wears cowboy boots and tells great campfire stories.
• New York – Sharp, sassy, and confident. This sauce doesn’t ask for your opinion, it tells you it’s the best.
• Cali – Light, fresh, and effortlessly cool. Probably drives an electric car and knows the best vegan brunch spots.
The truck itself is cheerful and smells like someone deep-fried happiness. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and there’s something strangely empowering about holding a box of chicken strips in one hand and a rainbow of dipping cups in the other.
