I want to recognize a team member named Zelda, who was attentive and doing exactly what she should. She offered me water while I waited and was genuinely kind and professional. Because of her effort alone, I am not rating this location one star.
That said, as a former Chick-fil-A manager, I noticed several serious customer service and professionalism issues. A team member named Ashlyn was leaning against the small refrigerator where children’s beverages are stored, playing with a lid, and openly flirting with another employee. The male employee was wearing a hoodie or sweatshirt underneath his polo, which is not in dress code. Their behavior was obvious, unprofessional, and made nearby guests and coworkers visibly uncomfortable.
What was most concerning was that the manager on duty allowed this behavior to continue without intervention.
I am writing this because, as a former manager, I would absolutely want to know if my store was being run this way, especially during evening hours. Chick-fil-A sets a high standard for professionalism and guest experience, and this shift did not reflect those expectations.
The employee who took my order and handled the transaction at the window identified herself as Lindsey (or was wearing a name tag reading “Lindsey”). From the moment I began speaking, her demeanor was noticeably hostile and unprofessional. She displayed clear disgusted facial expressions, sighed heavily, and spoke in a curt, annoyed tone that made it obvious she had no interest in assisting me.
The issue escalated when I politely asked a simple question about the Cobb salad. Instead of answering helpfully—as I have come to expect from Chick-fil-A employees—Lindsey responded with visible irritation, as if my question was an unreasonable burden. Her attitude was dismissive and rude throughout the entire interaction.
I have worked in the service industry for years, and I fully understand that everyone can have an off day. However, I have never encountered such outright rudeness from any employee—especially not at Chick-fil-A, a company renowned for its exceptional customer service and polite staff. Lindsey’s behavior was completely unacceptable and fell far below the high standards your brand consistently upholds.
This experience left me feeling unwelcome and frustrated, to the point where I hesitated to complete my order. It is disappointing that one employee’s poor attitude could overshadow the otherwise positive reputation of your restaurant.
I kindly request that this matter be addressed with Lindsey through appropriate coaching or training, and I would appreciate a response confirming that my feedback has been received and reviewed. I remain a loyal Chick-fil-A customer and hope this was an isolated incident.
Thank you for your attention to this concern.
Food quality is fine and the staff are friendly.
The drive thru has frequent issues with giving wrong drinks (label is correct but actual contents are wrong; got a Coke when my order and label were for iced tea), missing or giving too many items (yesterday I got 3 forks but no straw). The lack of attention to detail is unbecoming of Chick fil A.
