Overall we always have a great experience. Will come back for sure.
They need to be careful what goes in the fryer as fried plastic is TOXIC. Our first negative Chickfia experience.
The quality of food, of service, and especially the speed of service has gone SIGNIFICANTLY down hill in the last few months. I assume it’s because they have what essentially boils down to all highschoolers manning the restaurant, even as management. Now don’t get me wrong the highschool managers are doing their best with what is essentially them having to boss their peers/friends. But they need to have some actual ADULTS managing the staff because every 5 seconds there is someone on staff joking around with everyone else distracting/making everyone else around them goof off from doing their jobs and this is a constant. Employees are unorganized, undisciplined, and treat the job like it’s an after school club. Which I imagine for many of them it is.
I sat, I mean actually had to pull up a chair and sit in the caryout section, legs crossed for what was 15 MINUTES (order placed at 9:08, wasn’t in my hands till 9:23) waiting for my food. 2 basic sandwich meals with fries. The amount of silly antics, goofing off, dancing, dabbing, etc that I saw is shocking. No one taking new orders for 7 minutes, new hires being left alone without the person to help, just to name a few things. I locked eyes with an older gentleman who had been standing in line waiting to order forever, and gave him a “can you believe this” look. And he just nodded his head and agreed. We had an entire conversation about how ridiculous it was non verbally. I’m not trying to be mean but this is a consistent problem at this location for what has been months. To her credit, the manager on staff was trying to get everyone to do their jobs, but she could only do so much. She apologized for how long the food took to get to me, and I don’t blame her, she knew the ship was flying off the deep end, especially with 15+ minute ticket times, but when you have 20+ staff (from what I counted) and well over half of them are just goofing off. I’m sure it’s incredibly frustrating.
This is by no means the first time something like this has happened. I’ve gone through the drive through, probably a dozen times at this point in the last 3 months and had items straight up missing, cold, and/or incorrect. Every discussion with management is essentially “We’re all 17, sorry”. Now don’t get me wrong, there are some staff there i absolutely adore and who always apologize and are super nice to me and actually competent, but the vast majority of them treat this like a party. Very few say “my pleasure” or anything similar, very few are friendly, it’s like I’m back in highschool, or it’s like I’m at Wendy’s or something. Not Chickfla.
Not like I’m not gonna go back, Chickfla is a staple of my diet, but God I hope someone with actual authority/corporate actually straightens out how that restaurant is being ran because right now, it’s really great. (Though since they are one of the largest volumed locations in Georgia, I doubt they will)
When I asked her to speak with a manager above her I was told she could not do that. She could not give me the names or phone numbers of any direct manager’s over her, district manager’s,or corporate.
All I could do was come back to her store within 30 days and get another sandwich. Other than that, she explained to me there was nothing she could do.This is not at all the level of service I have come to expect from Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A is at the top of their game. All other fast foods aspire to be chick. Fil A. They are the ritz Carlton of fast food.
Xcept for Sophia. Who doesn’t meet up to the level of customer service one comes to expect at chick fil. A.
By the way, Sofia, your operator’s name is Bob Garrett. You might want to introduce yourself to this gentleman. As I have a feeling , he’s gonna wanna speak to you.
I contacted corporate who took care of the situation to my satisfaction and provided the level of customer service.I have come to expect from chick fil.A. I’m not gonna stop going to chick fil.A. Chick fil a is great! However, I am very disappointed by my interaction with Sophia,
as I have always had very positive interactions at all my other visits to chick fil.A.
UPDATE: 12/13/25 it’s worse than ever! Left out two hashbrowns and sauces for both cool wraps that were ordered for later. That was just this morning. Last night they I placed a mobile through order and they had me pull forward to get everything then forgot about me. My soup was cold and all together. It had been ready the whole time. WHENEVER we have time we use the mall location but with holiday traffic I have been having to use this abomination of a chick fil la.
Let’s talk about the fact that there is basically child labor going on here. There is ONLY high schoolers. They could absolutely care less about customer service. You feel more like you are at a McDonald’s. They don’t understand how to keep the line moving when it’s backed up. The owner of this Chick Fil A is probably paying these kids next to nothing to line his pockets. Meanwhile, with the economy like it is there are people out there that I’m sure apply that ACTUALLY NEED MONEY! And care to work hard. There’s nothing wrong with hiring a few high schoolers but that’s all you have. It HIGHLY SUGGESTS the owner profiting off paying these kids nothing. I think that this Chick Fil A will never improve until the ownership changes.
