I’ve been going to Chick-fil-A for about 20 years and have always appreciated the service. The Riverstone location has always been great. Recently my friend Becky and I have been going to the Hickory Flat store a couple times a week, and honestly something has felt off there.
Tonight really confirmed that for me. Two young men were ordering and having a quick friendly chat with a very nice employee, which is pretty normal for customer service. Then a manager came out from behind the counter and in a pretty sharp tone said something like “aren’t you supposed to be cleaning the dining room?” It was awkward enough that even the young men looked surprised.
Later that same employee came back over and spoke briefly with them again, and the manager immediately called her over and started scolding her. I’m not one to eavesdrop, but when it’s happening right in front of customers it’s hard not to hear things like “that’s not what I’m paying you for” and talk about cutting her hours. That kind of thing shouldn’t be happening in front of guests or behind closed doors or at all!
Look, I’m a Christian woman and I don’t usually get involved in things like this. I believe the Lord handles things in His own time. But the way that young employee was spoken to really didn’t sit right with me, and frankly it made the whole place feel uncomfortable.
I would like to speak with someone in management or higher up about this because that kind of treatment is not what I expect from Chick-fil-A. In the meantime I will be praying for the employees. ✝️

The first thing you’ll notice is the “vintage inspired” architecture. Spanning nearly 5,000 square feet, the interior features unique touches like light fixtures made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles and peach baskets, and a large gathering table crafted from reclaimed wood. For those hosting events, it even includes the Hickory Flat Community Room, a free-to-reserve space specifically designed for connection. Under the leadership of local operator Kevin Williams, the team has earned a reputation for being exceptionally “welcoming and kind”. Many regulars note that even when the line extends toward the road, the outdoor order-takers maintain a positive, “uplifting” attitude. While no restaurant is perfect with occasional reports of order errors during the most chaotic rushes the overall consensus remains overwhelmingly positive. Whether you are grabbing a quick Spicy Chicken Biscuit for breakfast or a Cobb Salad for dinner, this location continues to set the bar for fast-food service in Cherokee County.

Love the food, but I really don’t know what exactly did any of us Doordashers but to be ignored for completely 3-4 minutes employees walking around me, and making eye contact. Not one person acknowledge me until only 1 perite girl long hair and glasses asked and then I was helped. The Asian guy who handed me my order was very kind as well. As stated I don’t know what us Dashers did but please acknowledge us I apologize for anything of us did.

A few nights ago one of your associates helped me get my truck started when it stranded me with a battery problem in your parking lot after eating one of your delicious meals. Her name is Schell and she went above and beyond for me when I really needed help. Truly a star for your team.

This chic fil a… I would describe it as a second home. I love this place. I love the people that come with it. I love getting my delicious delectable sweet ice cream treats. Every night. However, on my recent trip to this establishment, I had a serious issue. And that issue is with the management. On my recent trip I was enjoying my delicious meal and chatting with some members of staff when I was.. dare I say scolded.. for “distracting the team”…. Which I thought was sort of uncalled for way to talk to a customer And sadly this is just one example of the cold unwelcoming experience u get from the managers. They have honestly never made me feel welcomed. The normal staff and team leads are nice but managers are condescending and rude. I believe we can turn this around. It’s not too late to fix this issue.
To whom it may concern. This management issue is detrimental to the vibes in the restaurant and must be addressed. Perchance.

Yesterday morning my wife and I stopped by Chick-fil-A in Hickory Flat and got two chicken biscuits for the road. This was about 7 am so food should be pretty fresh and hot. Instead the biscuits were cold, dry and just a crumbly mess. This was unexpectedly poor quality, not likely to go there again.

I had excellent food. Ratigan got my order perfect. The sandwich was crisp and fresh the waffle fries were well cooked and tasty. They had the sauces out not behind the counter. They were busy but they performed the job well. Definitely try this Chick Fila it is one of the best in the area.

Make sure you pull into the correct line for the drive through. They will not take your order on the mobile order side. I didn’t mean to pull in on that side and they made me wait and pull all the way back around. I left, not getting my business. Pathetic

had a wonderful experience at Chick-fil-A! The food was fresh, delicious, and served quickly. What stood out the most was the service—every team member was friendly, polite, and went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome. The restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
Chick-fil-A continues to set the standard for fast food done right
