This location is a great stop for lunch or dinner if you are in the Hickory area. The food is always superb. The service is, as expected, amazing.
You can get through the drive through line expeditiously at any time of day. And every employee meets and greets you with a smile. My longest wait time so far is 7 minutes (the line was wrapped around the building).
I have never been given an incorrect order or been served cold food. However, the one annoying aspect to visiting this location is the entrance/exit. Instead of turning directly into the parking lot like you could for years, you are know directed to turn onto a road beside the restaurant and then turn into the parking lot.
I know that seems picky – and truthfully, entering isn’t so bad. It’s the exiting that can be awful depending on the time of day you choose to visit. Because the exit leads to Hwy 70, when you leave you are stuck at a 3-5 minute light. If you are going right to get onto I40 then it won’t be much of an issue. But, if you are planning to go left down Hwy 70 to get to the Newton/Conover area – it can be a task to make that left hand turn before the light turns red again if there is significant traffic.
Otherwise, this chic fil a is one of the best I have ever been to. Highly recommend.

This Chick was in Hickory, NC. I had a very hard time finding it. The place was packed. It wasn’t organized like all my other chick experiences. I’m sorry but my nuggets were not very good and even my fries ( that I usually love) didn’t taste right. And I’m a big tea lover and my medium tea tasted strange. . Maybe they just made it or something.
The line for the drive thru was confusing and unorganized. You couldn’t tell where to go. I finally just got out my app and did a pick up in store. And then you always wonder which would have been quicker?
It was about 4:30 on a Tuesday when I was there and this place and everything around it was slammed!
There was no line inside and the people in there were awesome.

Chick-fil-A is consistently one of the best fast-food experiences you can have. The food is always fresh, hot, and made right, and the chicken sandwiches and waffle fries never disappoint. No matter how busy they are, the quality and speed stay the same.
What really sets them apart is the service. The staff is always friendly, respectful, and genuinely helpful, and they somehow manage to keep things running smoothly even during the busiest rushes. It’s one of the few places where you actually feel welcomed, not rushed.
And let’s be honest, any place that can have a line wrapped around the building and still get your order right (and say “my pleasure” while doing it) deserves some serious respect. Reliable food, great service, and a clean, well-run environment every time. Chick-fil-A sets the standard for what fast food should be.

Chick-fil-A food is always delicious. It is fresh and hot. They have incredible young people that are energetic and always smiling. They have excellent service and work as a team. I will go again very soon. I got my order through the drive thru. I always get take out. I am usually visiting for my dinner. I usually spend 10 to 25 dollars for me and spouse.

I was just in the drive through. Granted they are very busy. The lady takes my order and tells me to follow the white truck in front of me, which I do. This turns out to be the incorrect order, the customer behind me gets his food and then as he is pulling around me he yells at me “there’s a reason to stay in the order you’re told!!” And drives off. As he does this, the workers are laughing and I even explain to one of the workers that I was told to follow the car infront of me and that I didn’t intentionally try to skip the line, I was doing as I was told. She says “okay” laughs and walks away. Maybe next time you guys should be on top of the actual order so that innocent customers like myself aren’t blamed and yelled at by other customers for your mistakes. No accountability on their part whatsoever. 0/10 experience. Chickfila condones others customers to yell at other customers on their behalf apparently.

Well in the last 2-3 months I feel like this location is having issues all around. My co-worker and I have had problems 3 times from this location ranging from non-existence food in the bag that was ordered, fried nuggets instead of grilled, forgetting milkshakes and lids not being on drinks so they spill all over you as well as not being prepared with drinks in drink trays. Long wait times when ordering through the app and going through the drive-thru which is supposed to be easier I feel like and just overall lack luster process. I don’t know what the issue is however something needs to change. This location used to be the best however not recently. I went to the Viewmont location last night 9/25/25 and everything was hot, perfect, and service was superior. I’ve also been to the the location in the mall recently and the same, food was great and service as well. My co-worker and I have been told we can come back to get our free meals however why would we want to return to a location where the process is subpar? So with that said, I really hope someone sees this from this location and tries to execute the process more efficiently.

It’s a pretty good chick-fil-a. Food is good and drive-thru is quick despite the volume they get. I think they’ve only messed up my order once in coming here maybe 3 dozen times over 2.5 years (about 3%, but maybe lower for all orders). Don’t really care for the interior all that much.

The food here is good but I asked a young girl if she could help me to my table and she did, but she wasn’t very kind to me at all and rolled her eyes having to help an elder woman. Very hurtful. The name tag read “Ava”. Other than that my meal was fine.

This place is awesome!! We eat here all the time. It’s always crowded but they move customers through there so fast, it’s unreal. I’ll tell you how fast they are; my daughter and I went inside to eat. We ordered our food and before the young lady could fill up 2 drinks the young man (Wesley) was walking around the dining area looking for us with our food. That’s fast!!! Gotta give props to Wesley, that dude was all about prompt service. Job well done. Always clean inside. Highly recommend stopping here. I will add this, traffic can be congested at times. Be careful pulling out. Look twice.

Lady that brought out my bag swore everything was in there. I’m missing my daughter’s 12 ct nuggets. I call in explained to them what happened. Explained I’m from florida. They ask if I want to come collect it for free. Well first off I already paid so it’s not free. Second I live in Florida how do you expect me to swing back in. So now my daughter has no food and they stole my money. This location is absolutely horrible.
