Andrew is one of my favorite employees because he always goes above and beyond.
Everyone is usually so welcoming and attentive.
But today, I had an awful experience with Cynthia, the Director. And it seems like this was a different crew than what I’m used to.
I had ordered my normal meal #5. Usually I get fries with it but today I wanted something different so I got chicken noodle soup. Which is a $1.66 upcharge.
When I got back to my practice, I ate my sandwich but my soup was cold, and tasteless. And there was an unidentified black thing floating in it.
So I returned to return the soup and get fries instead.
Because there were other customers in the restaurant, I didn’t want to announce out loud that something unidentified was floating in my soup.
So I discreetly asked for a $1.66 refund.
The cashier asked me did I also want a refill on my drink, I told her sure.
Cynthia came out and said that she would “ do me the favor of refunding $1.66”, but if I wanted fries, I WOULD HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR THEM.
Even though the #5 meal includes fries for $11.90 after tax. She explained that because I didn’t get the meal with fries to start with, I now have to pay extra for fries even though it’s included in the meal price????!!!!!
What was disheartening about this situation is that Cynthia was so condescending. She kept saying that she was doing me a FAVOR by giving a refund???!!!!
And NO ONE THERE HAD A CLUE WHAT I WAS SAYING. They all looked like lost deer caught in headlights.
In the end I just got my refund of $1.66. But Cynthia was adamant that I was not going to get my fries. So I paid $11.90 for a sandwich and drink. While the meal costs $11.90 with fries included.
I’m so glad I was able to remain calm. It’s not about the fries, it’s the principle.
The tea is watered down, and the lemonade is either straight acid with no sugar or is also watered down. When you try to order a “sunjoy” also called an arnold palmer, they are disgusting and un drinkable because both ingredients are wrong.
At each location I go back and order a refill of both sweet tea and lemonade separately so I can confirm they are both defective. I also order diet lemonade for comparison sake. I can confirm both are made incorrectly the vast majority of the time now. Its sad.
Please teach your workers how to correctly mix the tea and lemonade, its the reason why I visit CFA so often. Its the hook that gets you alot of business.
The Director, Cynthia refused to replace her chicken noodle soup, which was inedible, with fries. Fries are actually included with the meal.
Cynthia gave my wife the upcharge refund of $1.66 for the inedible chicken noodle soup. but then refused to give her a replacement.
So basically my wife paid $11.90 for a meal that includes fries and only got a sandwich and drink in the end. Apparently, she was told that because she didn’t select to get the fries initially (but got the chicken noodle soup which she returned), now she has to pay extra for fries even though her basic $11.90 meal includes fries.
Never mind the upcharge for the chicken noodle soup, which shouldn’t even be a factor.
The Director, Cynthia tried to act as though my wife were begging or trying to get something for free. Meanwhile, my wife paid for her meal. And just got a sandwich and drink.
My wife goes here daily, I’m upset that she was berated, humiliated and treated as a nuisance today.
I bet she would have received different treatment if her skin were the color of mine.
Shame on you chick-fil-a of North Hills.
