I have to say that when it comes to fast food, Chick-fil-A usually delivers. They usually have two lines of cars going. It seems to more very quickly. The inside was nice and clean. The team behind the counter was quick and seemed to work good together. I had just sit down and my food was coming out.

I usually love Chick-fil-A for the speedy service and fresh food, but this Salem location has been consistently disappointing. The service is extremely slow every time I visit. A few times my mobile order has been brought to me while just passing the order boards, which is “speedy” but then you’re trapped in the line another 10+ mins with your food so the food definitely doesn’t taste fresh by the time you get to eat it… Most of the employees seem to be near retirement age, for real I’ve never been to a Chick-fil-A where 90% of the workers are 55+ and while they’re polite, it ALWAYS feels like they’re struggling to keep up with the pace. This location needs some serious improvement in speed, efficiency, and food freshness.

This Chick-fil-A is always busy, but they keep things running so smoothly that you’re in and out in no time. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the staff is friendly and efficient. Like most Chick-fil-A locations, the prices are a bit on the high side—but the quality and service make it worth it.

Food was good. When we went they were pretty busy. The one girl working the drive thru could use some additional training- there was a line and she stopped working to look at sirens passing by and then proceeded to two cars behind us without taking our order. Luckily we were able to get the other girl’s attention to get our order taken.

Once again Chick-fil-A proved why they are king of the hill. We walked into a lobby with a cross country team, a college basketball team, and some kind of cheer squad. No other restaurant could have taken that kind of crowd and turned it into smiling employees and smiling customers. The food was still Chick-fil-A quality and our special order was correct as always. Thank you to everyone that made it happen!

We are at the Salem VA location last night, and noticed a Very Drastic change in the chicken sandwiches…they were Flat and seemed to be a third Smaller than the last time we ate there, maybe 3 months ago.. The Service was Very Good, along with the Atmosphere.. but the Quality of the sandwichs had Dramatically Diminished.. We Won’t Be Going Back…!

I was in the area and driving back from Tennessee and I had to stop. I really don’t eat any kind of fast food often but I make an exception for Chick-fil-A. No matter what Chick-fil -A I go to there’s always a line in drive up or inside. The lines seems to move quickly because they’re very organized.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I placed my order and told them I was eating there. I was given a standup card to place on my table, and a worker would bring my order to my table.
My order arrived within 5-7 minutes and the girl who brought it to me was very friendly. She even checked on us and asked if we needed a refill on our drinks. ( I love the Southern Hospitality.) I ordered two 4 pc Chicken Strip Meals.My order was perfect. Everything I ordered including their special sauces which are so good was correct.
While I was eating I noticed the staff was constantly cleaning. This restaurant was spotless. They have a variety of different size tables for eating.
I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely return if in the area.

Their food is delicious. Chicken is tender and juicy, the bun is soft. Fries is yummy especially their dipping sauce. Worth every penny you spend here. A lot of people eating here dine in or take away, they also have drive thru.

Good overall location. Food was good. Service was quick and simple. I did hear a team member tell someone that the day I was there was “mobile order day” and that this person could get a free item if they order online but didn’t sound like they were willing to wait for the customer to download the app. So they ended up just telling the customer what they missed out on instead of assisting the customer to achieve the deal if they desired. The line wasn’t long either, so that wasn’t the issue. Drive thru service is good. Parking lot can get backed up easily though. Making right hand turns into the line seems to be quicker.
