This happened to us for the third time tonight. The first two times we tried this, our names could not be found in “the book” when we returned. So, not not being fooled by this again. Very disappointed.
The food overall was at great temperature, not overcooked.
In addition, I had noticed the staff goofing around too much while also consuming goods. Typical of most fast food places.
The issue is with this particular location. I always get large ice waters because I want to stay hydrated, the water is free, and the large cup usually only costs like 50 cents or free. I ordered one without issue from the cashier in the drive thru, but when I got to the window, they said they couldn’t give me it because “we don’t give out large cups here”??? I told them that I had quite literally ordered one, no one informed me of this in the ordering process, and I showed them the receipt which explicitly states “1 Wtr LG +Xtr Ice”. It was either the manager or some higher front end staff in a red shirt that kept arguing that they simply couldn’t put some water in a large cup even though it was already in the system. Yes they did offer me two small cups but that is incredibly inconvenient and not at all what I asked for or what was on the reciept. Note: Mia, the team member that took my order was not at fault because obviously the managerial staff had not informed the people taking orders of this ridiculous policy.
P.S. I also just realized they didn’t give me a straw for my milkshake.
But, (and this is a BIG BUT) quite often than not, you will find one or two of those chicken strips so skinny and so dry and hard, and definitely not as juicy as the rest. Such defective strips makes you feel cheated of your money because they definitely dont represent value for money.
This problem is not unique to this store alone. It is very common in nearly all chick-fil-A locations I have been to.
I once walked back to the Washington DC location near the DC Costco to request an exchange for a defective chicken strip. The upon seeing how unacceptable defective the strip looks, the supervisor apologized and blamed the employee who fulfilled that order right infront of me that he should not serve defective strips per policy. But Chick-fil-A stores continue to serve defective strips in nearly all their locations.
That is an issue that Chick-fil-A must address and that is why I am awarding them 4 stars instead of the 5 stars they should deserve.
