Dear Chick-fil-A Customer Service,
I am writing to report a frustrating and disappointing experience I had at your Burlington Mall location (Store #00772) on June 30, 2025, at 11:14 AM EST.
I placed an order for 5 chicken sandwiches and 3 large fries, specifically requesting no other meat—just chicken sandwiches. I made this clear at the time of ordering because in the past, bacon was mistakenly included. However, after returning home—5 miles away—I discovered that I was only given pieces of chicken without any bread or sandwich packaging.
I had four hungry children (ages 3 to 6) waiting for lunch, and this mistake caused significant disappointment and stress for them and for us as grandparents. I immediately tried calling the store, but no one answered the phone. The store was not particularly busy at that time when I ordered the food, and I also noticed my order took longer than those of customers who ordered after me.
With no response by phone, I had no choice but to drive back another 5 miles to the store. When I explained what happened, I was met with no apology. Instead, the staff member accused me of ordering “just chicken,” which is simply untrue. She claimed that some customers order just chicken as a sandwich—which, in my 35 years of experience, I have never encountered.
Another staff member, who appeared to be the manager (I believe her name was Karen), was dismissive and argumentative. She claimed it was my fault, questioned why my wife was upset over the phone, and failed to acknowledge the inconvenience and mistake. I calmly explained that we had other plans for the day and didn’t want to further disappoint the children—we simply wanted the correct order.
Even after this difficult interaction, I thanked them for replacing the order. When I asked for the employee’s name for record purposes, she rudely told me to “go ahead and report it.”
Unfortunately, when I returned home, I discovered that the chicken and fries were cold, and no ketchup was included—adding to our frustration.
As a longtime Chick-fil-A customer and Christian by faith, I have always appreciated the company’s values, service, and quality. That’s why this experience was so disappointing. I sincerely hope this incident is taken seriously and addressed appropriately with the team involved.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
