️ If you’re hunting for a classic Maine comfort‑food moment — the kind that whispers “treat yourself, you deserve it” — Chick‑A‑Dee of Lewiston is absolutely the move.

I stopped in on a Monday night, and things were calm in the best way. No wait, no chaos, just that cozy, small‑town diner energy. I was seated right away, and my server was wonderfully kind and attentive — the sort of person who makes you feel like you’ve been coming there for years .

I ordered the butter lobster roll with homemade chips, and let me tell you… this thing was legit. The lobster was nicely seasoned, buttery, and delicious — not drowned, not dry, just perfectly balanced. The homemade chips were crisp, golden, and addictive enough that I had to remind myself I was in public and should behave .

Simple, delicious, friendly, and exactly what you want from a Maine seafood stop. If you’re in the Lewiston area and craving a no‑nonsense, well‑done lobster roll, Chick‑A‑Dee is absolutely worth the visit.

This is a straight forward Maine spot! The lobster was excellent and my lobster roll made me cry like a little kid!! It was huge and delicious . My wife loved her veggies and the chowder was excellent. Atmosphere has seen better days but you are there for the LOBSTER!!

My work partner got a meal to go. Said the captain’s platter and that the fried scallops were some of the best he’s had. The whole meal he said was great. The “chips”, are potato chips… he just thought they would be “fries”

First visit. Very generous lunch-size portion. Wait person was very friendly and attentive. Only issue was no drink menu and she had to walk away a couple of times to check on beer options. Recommend this vedy much for the fried clams!

This was our first time at this restaurant. We were seated quickly and waited on quickly. There were lots of options on the menu. I ordered a lobster roll with chips. It was pricey but delicious. We got the clam chowder and it was delicious. My husband got the chicken scampi. It was a huge portion! There was no flavor and the chicken was tough. We took most of it to go and added some ingredients to flavor it. Overall we enjoyed the restaurant and would try it again.

6/7 Meals were great. Service was awesome.

The Clam Chowder, Steak Tips, and Fried Seafood was great. The Chicken Tenders were awesome. The Martinis were great.

The coleslaw is a definite highlight also.

We went to Chick-A-Dee specifically for Steamed Lobster, we even called ahead and “made sure” they had them, and as it turns out they only have live lobster seasonally. Disappointing. The Lobster Pie was overcooked and dry.

Overall we had a great time and will return.

So glad we searched for seafood restaurants in the area because if we hadn’t we probably wouldn’t have stumbled upon this gem with it being out of town a little ways. My gosh you will not be disappointed with the food and the service. The fried green beans were by far my favorite part of the meal and were as delicious as everyone said in the reviews. As were the sweet potato fries. I got the haddock entree with lobster sauce and dressing and my husband got the fisherman’s platter. Both were good dishes and massive portions (dinner). I imagine the lunch portion is a very reasonable portion, but if you want leftovers I suggest the dinner portion for another meal out of it. Will definitely be back!

The food is always delicious, and server was prompt, friendly.
The turn off for me was “dress down Friday” Blue jeans with torn knees, showing skin. Not attractive for what I consider an upscale restaurant in the Lewiston area.

Went on a Friday night, and there was plenty of space available so that was a positive. When you enter the place to pick up to go orders is right when you walk in the door, this created a bit of a bottleneck as we walked in to some people waiting right inside the door. We were seated in the back room, sat next to some windows and there was quite a draft on a cold winters night, not a crisis, just changed sides of the table. Country music was playing, quite load and if you aren’t a fan you won’t care for that. Ordered prime rib and it was very chewy, ordered some chicken tenders and they looked great but had a very charred flavor, must have been near something that burnt. I ate half expecting it to improve, it didn’t but I didn’t see value in bringing it to anyone’s attention. 5 berry pie for desert that we brought home to eat, it had a bunch of rhubarb in it which wasn’t as expected. Overall the pie wasn’t great and didn’t get finished.
Not a great experience and it was surprisingly almost $100 for 2 people.

Never been before. We had a party of 6. We had two dishes that came out undercooked. The coconut shrimp were cold and translucent in the middle. And the baked haddock was also cold to the touch and raw. Not great on either front.
The lobster bisque flavor was quite nice and had a TON of big chunks of lobster, if only it had been warm. It was also cold. And I don’t mean Luke warm. I mean cold.

On the flip side, others in our party loved it and had excellent meals. Hopefully we were just there on an off night. The service and the staff was excellent.
