Chicco Baccello right in the heart of Canonsburg is my all-time favorite coffee shop and cafe. I love the space/various seating options, especially for work-from-“home” days. The food and coffee menu is huge, so there really is something for everyone! My favorite combo is the yogurt/fruit parfait + a specialty latte. (Their salads & sandwiches are delicious for lunch, too.) December is my favorite time of year to visit, as the decor, ambiance, and Christmas music makes for the perfect, holiday day. Highly recommend Chicco Baccello!

My favorite lunch spot in all of canonsburg! The absolute coziest dining place off the main strip with plenty of seating (both cushioned and high tables) with stunning decor and artwork made by locals. I usually get the BLT Talon with no peppers (Bacon, Lettuce, tomato and spicy mayo) and it is to die for! Their pasta salad is also one of my favorites! They have quite a lot of coffee and tea options but overall their cold brew really comes out on top!

If you want lunch in Canonsburg that is not typical fast food fare, or pizza, this place is a great option. The place is very open and inviting and the sandwich and salad selections are freshly made to order and very reasonably priced. We tried their spicy turkey sandwich and a chicken salad and were very impressed with the quality of the food.
The salad featured a mix of greens which were not your typical iceberg. Then, there were layers of sliced chicken – that we saw them slicing to order – craisins, blue cheese, nuts, and more. Their balsamic vinaigrette was vey tasty as well and was clearly made in house. The spicy turkey sandwich featured Boars Head turkey which was also cut to order. There was also a layer of Habanero-flavored cheese, banana peppers, all layered on your choice of bread. I chose a wheat bread. This was then toasted and served warm. I also got a side of their Macaroni salad. This was a standard macaroni salad and while reasonably good, was the weakest part of the meal.
After ordering, you get a stand with a number and they bring the food to your table. Service was quick and there were lots of tables that sat from two to six people in the space. There are also two areas with couches and easy chairs for enjoying coffees and pastries – which they also sell.
Prices are moderate and this makes for a good deal given the quality of what you’re getting. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and close at 2 PM.

Had a poor service experience at the Canonsburg location few months ago. Decided to give them another chance, and was met with rudeness once again. My food order (a breakfast sandwich special clearly written on the display case) could not have been more of an inconvenience based on the cook’s huffing and puffing. Disappointing.

Went in on Monday at 1:30, not crowded by any means but everyone seated had no food in front of them, the kitchen was clearly backed up. A lady kindly came up & asked for her food to go cause she had to get back to work & the kitchen was very rude to her about it. They announced it was a 15 min wait for sandwiches, no big deal, we didn’t mind. We started our order, they were out of numerous things so we had to change it multiple times, again no big deal. We gave her our order & I asked for extra rotisserie chicken on the side for something for my 13 month old daughter to snack on & she just told me “no there is already a wait we can’t do that” (my daughter has allergies so her diet is limited, some deli meat was all I could think of that would be dairy/soy free) umm no? I can’t have extra meat that I will pay for at a deli? The attitude is what really bothered me..the staff was just rude to everyone, everything was an inconvenience that they didn’t have time for. We cancelled our order & left ♀️

I recently found this place while searching for restaurants nearby, and am SOOO glad I chose them for my lunch order.
The food (a Reuben sandwich) was excellent, with a good sized portion, reasonably priced, and ready exactly at the time I requested for pickup.
Since I work nearby, I will be ordering from here frequently .
Please note the the front counter area is very small and gets extremely crowded during lunch hours, so be prepared for a long line & wait time, that’s why I order online & pick up my food, no muss, no fuss

OMG! My avocado toast this morning was more than expected. Two slices of wheat toast, egg, avocado, and bacon. The flavor was perfect. My drink was vanilla nut roast coffee and it was very flavorful and smooth. The staff was great and helpful. I hope to stop again when in the area.

It’s unfortunate because Washington location is amazing. This location messed up my breakfast sandwich and i didn’t have time to wait for another so i needed a refunded and i got an eye roll from the older lady who works there. So i decided to give them another shot, got my breakfast sandwich this morning, not panini pressed and cold cheese. Just lazy and honestly put no soul or care into this location. Won’t be back

Go! Go! Go! A beautiful gem tucked in the downtown strip of canonsburg. The Town needed something like this. Bring your friends and make this your new Gathering Spot. Plenty of seating, lots of comfortable options. While you’re there, check out the tiny Art Gallery in the back.
