See, I knew when I walked in and saw that the only drinks they served were bottled water and cool-aid. This has to be good,and I was right.
I had the sample plate wings, perch, shrimp, pickles, orka, coleslaw,fries, and a slice of white bread.
Yep, I should have known 3 different cool-aids. Yes, the cook throw down for me.
I’ve tasted them all using the fries to cleanse my palette. Yep, it’s good. No one dish overpower the other.
I only peeked at the dessert enough to know where I going for my next cheat treat.

This was my first time here. The restaurant is beautiful inside. I ordered chicken wings and chicken sausage. The wings were super salty and that’s the only season I tasted. The fries were old and hard. The chicken sausage was good, but overpriced. The kool-aid is just a cup of sugar. I do plan on revisiting to see if maybe that was just a bad day for the restaurant or if that’s their norm to serve old salty food.

This business is one that I will continue to patron. The young lady at the cash register was so sweet and informative. She had product knowledge. I’ve seen this place for awhile and one day decided to try them. This was the best decision I’ve made when it comes to chicken and has become one of my favorites.
Nothing less than great. I come here at least once a week to eat. The staff here have the best hospitality and cater to whatever you need whether you’re dining in or getting them to go. The food is fresh, the music is good and the prices are unbeatable. If you’re in the area and want home felt service and great food I highly recommend trying Chicago’s Chicken Shack.

Decided to finally give this Chicken Shack a try. It’s mainly wings and sides, so if you’re expecting full/half chicken or thighs and breast you may want to look elsewhere. Now if you’re looking for some chicken wings on steroids (not really they just look like they are) then this is the spot. They have a couple of flavors to choose from. I tried the lemon pepper which was a little under seasoned, but that’s because I’m used to them being a little over seasoned. Fried okra and fries for sides along with shrimp and catfish as separate entrees. All orders are served with a side of coleslaw and a slice of bread, but the only give you one slice so if you need more don’t forget to ask. Sauce is added to the chicken during preparation. If you’re not into mild or hot sauce then I recommend letting them know when placing your order. All in all it was a good experience. Enjoy!

Great place for a snack or dinner! Chicken wings, catfish, shrimp, fries(not plain old tasteless fries, these are yummy), special made desserts in house like banana pudding, cobbler, krazy grapes that are like a taffy apple, specialty lemonade (with hibiscus, strawberries or lavender!). The mild sauce (not like hot medium or mild salsa but a Chicago special sauce) is awesome and I recommend the lemon pepper as well. Chicken is seasoned deliciously all by itself, so no need for sauce but it’s a great addition. I got the 4 wings dinner all around for about $7 and it filled me up, great deal, good food, friendly service, can’t go wrong! Come and support a local veteran when you eat here!
