This place is so good! I tried the vegetable ramen and it was PHENOMENAL. The broth was full of amazing flavor and yet it was light. I’m usually a red miso fan but this is my new favorite by far.
I used to go to the Crystal Lake location as it’s right next to my house. I will never go back there after several awful experiences with the manager and issues with cleanliness. I will 100% drive to this new Algonquin location to get the quality, cleanliness, and flavor I’ve come to love from Chicago Ramen!

This was my first visit, and I was completely impressed. The flavors were incredible, especially the beef curry ramen with an egg, which was rich and satisfying. Every bite was a delight. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. I cannot wait to come back.

First time at this place and I must say everything was excellent. The service from the two servers was top-notch—they always had a smile and checked on us at just the right times. As for the ramen, it was incredible; the broth was rich and the noodles were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back!

We visited Chicago Ramen for the first time, and the food completely exceeded our expectations! We tried the Red Miso Ramen and the Shrimp Wonton Ramen—both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was fantastic. We’ll definitely be returning!

I arrived at 11:00am.
I wanted to eat a Mabo Tofu Ramen.
But they didn’t accept the order.
So, I ordered a Chicen Karaage Cuurry Rice.
That’s not bad.

I never read reviews, and I definitely never write them — but this is one of those times I really should have checked before coming here.
It seems like this place has never heard of customer service. They are seriously understaffed — just two people (a cook and one server) can’t possibly handle a full house. On top of that, the server working that day was incredibly slow.
Managers, please pay attention to this. I don’t know how busy you are on weekdays, but on weekends you must add more staff.
Now about cleanliness — there basically isn’t any. The floors are sticky, like someone poured glue on them. The fans are covered in dust, and the AC hasn’t been wiped in who knows how long. While we waited an entire hour for our order, we all started getting headaches from the smell of burnt oil. We left smelling like it.
To be fair, after three tables left because they couldn’t stand the wait or the poor service, two more employees finally showed up to help.
Still, I’d strongly recommend the management to rethink how this place operates — and for potential customers, think twice before coming here.

On a cold snowy day, this place was necessary. First time having sit down ramen, and couldn’t have chosen a better spot. Along with a dandelion tea, this was a must try and come back!!

Had high hopes..went down really fast. Server looked high and threw menus & straws. Didn’t get any played or silverware had to steal chopsticks from another table. Toilet paper stuck to everyone’s shoe and sticky floors everywhere. Whoever manages this place sucks at it. Not enough staff and other than how cute this place looks nothing makes me want to go back to this place. Chicken ramen, shrimp tempura and gyoza was edible but ofc no plates or chopsticks to enjoy the food. Water that’s at the table smells and tastes like plastic not only that but my cup was completely bit up by children or rats? I’ll never know. Apparently they didn’t have anything else to drink but water? And another table was given the option for soda but we were not.
