Casual spot for Japanese ramen bowls served at a counter in a simple storefront setting.

We’ve been coming here quite often but This is our first time having their Lunch Specials (new add on for this lication) which is so worth $17. My favorite is Tsukemen style which is so tasteful , rich broth and very solf pork. With lunch specials you will have choices of appetizers we had Chicken Karage and pork bum wich couldn’t finish coz Ramen is already filled us. The service there always friendly and nice. Chicago Ramen is one of our favorites we dont mind driving 40 minutes for this place.Food quality always maintained even the management had changed.

I’ve been going here for the past 6 yrs and didn’t realize I haven’t made a review on this place until now. The place is small and always jam packed from opening to closing. I would say you’re lucky if you don’t have to wait for a seat less tan 5-10 mins of your arrival. There was tihis time I chose to eat in my car. For the past years the service and staffs are great. Always smiles even the chefs.

SO YUMMY! Rich, flavorful broth, perfectly chewy noodles, and super tender pork. The tsukemen style makes it fun and customizable, and the spice/garlic add-ons are a great touch. Clean spot, quick service, and definitely worth coming back.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Des Plaines! Manager Ty is professional and genuinely cares about his guests. The staff is polite, efficient, and friendly. The Japanese Calamari was crispy perfection, and the Chicken Ramen was comfort in a bowl. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit.

Came here right before getting on a 13 hour flight which in hindsight might not be the best idea before a long flight but luckily I didn’t get a stomachache. Location is pretty close to the airport as well. I’ve been to other location which was smaller and colder temperature wise but this one just has three 4 seater chairs and chairs surrounding the kitchen area.
I ordered the Beef Curry Ramen which seems to be a bigger portion size than others for some reason. I really like it. Meat is tender and soup is hearty. They’ve got different levels of spice ranging from No Spicy to Killer Spicy with 4 fire signs on the top of the menu. I went for 1 fire sign and was sweating and face red afterwards but that might just be me.

We have been searching for the best ramen in Chicago, came across two really big restaurants and we went to all of them, some of them with really long lines, all of them were either overrated or just good enough not great or not really Japanese ramen, more like fusion(?), this place was the only place we came twice in 3 days, after eating multiple bowls of ramen, I got the white miso ramen, added some garlic and pepper later, either ways is so so so GOOD! So happy to have found a place with the right ratio of salty and umami with the perfect chewiness on the noodles, after so many bowls I’m so glad I found one place that is worth coming back! Also the chef here is really friendly and he knows what he is doing.

One of the best ramen around. Ive brought family, friends, and coworkers here many times and all of them have been shocked by the immense flavor. The broth is rich and delicious; the noodles are great to slurp; and the toppings are amazing. The best part is their spicy powder they make themselves. Ive had spice enthusiasts fall in love with the spice and pocket dozens of their spice cups to take home.
So why is it 4 stars? The inside is extremely cramped and its always packed. Good luck trying to sit down at a reasonable time or good luck with being squished. I recommend going solo or with two and never a group of 4. They own the sushi spot right next to it (which is always emptier and larger inside) so if recommend they just open it up for the more popular ramen side if possible.

Enjoyed the spicy beef curry Ramen. Went level 4 of 4 for spice level and it was just how I like it. Small place so we ate at a counter with people next to us. Server took order and brought the bill, no interaction at all.
Update: 2nd time everything was delicious. My and my wife had killer spicy and yes its spicy!!!

This has been my favorite ramen spot since 2020, the vegetable ramen being an absolute staple. Recently they completely changed the recipe for the vegetable ramen and it tastes terrible and was noticeably a smaller portion. Not only that, but they increased the price as well. The tomatoes in there are diabolical, why would you get rid of the onions and add tomato? Also, the included tofu we never asked for is unnecessary. I truly hope the other locations do not follow whatever change is being made.
