For the price, this place just didn’t deliver. I ordered the 24oz Bone-in “Cowboy Cut” Ribeye ($70), and it wasn’t cooked to the temperature I requested, was very bland, and honestly I’ve had much better steaks for a lot less money elsewhere.
On the positive side, the interior was very nice and our waitress was excellent—friendly, attentive, and clearly knew the menu well. Unfortunately, good service and ambiance couldn’t make up for such an underwhelming (and overpriced) steak. Wouldn’t rush back.

Had a decent meal with the family. French onion soup was very good. Kansas City steak was good, but a little too much fat. They didn’t have bread pudding which was a disappointment.

We visited Chicago Prime Steakhouse on Father’s Day, and overall, it was a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the elegant and inviting atmosphere. It felt like the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, and it definitely lived up to the reputation.
The service was outstanding—professional, friendly, and very attentive. One of the highlights of the evening was that the owner himself stopped by our table to personally ask if everything was going well. That level of care and attention made us feel valued and appreciated, and it really elevated the experience.
We ordered a full spread that included two 24 oz Bone-In Ribeye Cowboy Cuts, one New York Strip Steak, burgers, wine, sodas, and for dessert, cheesecake. We also had appetizers—calamari and Oysters Rockefeller—and both were absolutely amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. A fantastic way to start the meal.
The steaks were tender, juicy, and had excellent flavor. The Cowboy Cuts were cooked just right with beautiful marbling. However, they were served on top of a gravy or juice mixture that included rosemary. While the sauce was tasty, the rosemary was far too strong, and its overpowering aroma completely took away from the natural richness of the meat. With just a little more seasoning on the steak and by completely removing the rosemary, the dish would be truly amazing.
The burgers were the only other downside—the meat was a bit dry, which didn’t match the high quality of the rest of the meal.
We ended our meal with cheesecake for dessert, and it was the perfect finishing touch—rich, smooth, and satisfying.
Overall, it was a wonderful Father’s Day dinner filled with top-tier service, great food, and a classy ambiance. Just a couple of small adjustments—completely eliminate the rosemary, improve the burger moisture, and enhance the steak seasoning—and this place would easily be five stars. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back for another special evening.

I cannot recommend Donna enough! I came to Chicago Prime Steakhouse with my parents last week- she is truly the best server I have ever had at a steakhouse, and we love a good steakhouse! From the moment we were seated, her warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism stood out to me ( I am a waitress myself, so I notice these things). She anticipates every need, remembers details, and goes above and beyond to make each guest feel valued.
What makes her remarkable isn’t just her skill- it is her amazing personality. She is kind, empathetic, and seems to genuinely care about the people she serves, all while handling what could be a stressful work environment with patience, grace, and humor! I love a waitress that can make me laugh! Her positivity elevates the entire dining experience.
She made us feel seen and appreciated, not just as a customer but as a person. It’s very rare, especially now-a-days, to meet someone so talented and genuinely kind-hearted. If you have the chance to be served by her, consider yourself extremely lucky- she is an absolute gem and I will be recommending her if we return to this restaurant. You won’t believe what happened! I went to a restaurant on 25th at 5 PM and had a bit too much wine. The service was great, and the food was delicious, but I accidentally left my to-go food and my Chanel sunglasses behind. Those sunglasses cost me $650, and I’m devastated! I have videos that prove I had them at the restaurant and didn’t take them when I left. But the restaurant claims they can’t find them. They won’t even check the security cameras because it’s “just” sunglasses, even though they were super expensive. It’s not the manager’s fault, but someone definitely took them. If they don’t check the cameras, I’m never going back. This whole thing is insane!

We were three couples celebrating several birthdays. We sat in the lounge so we could see the Tony Ocean show…which was really the only good thing about this visit. We ordered drinks to start, which took 30 minutes to arrive, and that 30 minute wait continued throughout the evening. Our server said they had a big party, of 80 people, so the bar was backed up. I guess my thought is you should staff appropriately to cover big parties. The food was a mixed bag. Two of the orders (both steak Diane) were completely cold … the steak, asparagus and potatoes. We sent them back and they returned microwaved. Other dishes were okay, definitely not very warm. The filet and crab cake was pretty bland. The creme brulee was okay but again by the time it was served the topping was cold. Overall, this is supposed to be a high end restaurant, but last night it wasn’t.
