Heard about Chicago Paulie’s on the radio and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint! Ordered the “Best of Both Worlds” at the suggestion of the customer in front of us. It was an Italian Beef and a Chicag Dog. Wow! The flavors and quality are amazing! The sandwich is a bit spicy, but that did not stop me from gobbling it down! There was a line, but everyone was friendly and patient. Will definitely return!

Not sure I can say much that has not already been said. The building is not much to look as a matter of fact I drove around two times before I even found it. It is essentially in the parking lot of a gas station. it is completely to go and there is no seating outside. Don’t be in a hurry because it does take time for your order, but you will be so happy that you waited not only is the food delicious the guy running it is a pleasure to talk to I had the Italian beef spicy, but it wasn’t overly spicy. It’s only open for a few hours a day so you have to get there early and when it opens, there will be a line. I can hardly wait to go to try the other items.

Absolutely wonderful people! First time meeting them and they were so kind and welcoming. The only thing better than their hospitality was their italian beef. I had arrived just a bit before they were open and still helped me out. 100/100 If I ever come back to Tampa this will be a must go for me <3. It was so good I went into a food coma once I finished.

Always a pleasure visiting Paulie and having some of his delicious food. The Italian Beef is my go to and I highly recommend it. Super flavorful and delicious. Everything is fresh and made to order so you will have to wait. I always enjoy talking to Paulie, he is very nice and accommodating! It is about a 45 minute drive for me but always worth it.

DON’T LET THE SETTING SCARE YOU!!! This is one of those diamonds in the rough that you always hear about, the place you would never stop unless you had to… let me tell you, YOU HAVE TO. First of all the owner is amazing. Great conversation that goes with great the absolutely amazing food. The hot Italian beef was so good, from the pickled toppings, to soft, amazing roll. The Chicago dog was just as amazing.
I have passed this place a thousand times and I regret that I didn’t stop before. Hours are short, but worth it if you make it on time. You won’t be sorry you stopped, you will just be sorry you haven’t gone before. Enjoy. Let me know what you think.

A friend once told me you can get the best food outside a gas station, and this time he was right! After 4 years we finally managed to visit Paulie’s while he was open.
Don’t let the appearance fool you. Tucked into the corner of a gas station parking lot. Chicago Paulie’s is a Tampa staple. Only open for lunch Mon-Sat from 11-3.
The menu is hot dogs, hamburgers and fries. It’s simple, uncomplicated and super tasty.
After placing our orders, our food showed up in under 10 minutes. Already dripping in relish, mustard and ketchup (no onions for me) I took a sample bite of the puppy seed bun. Those buns, tho. Fluffy, fresh and tastes so yummy!! The dog was just as fresh and so well cooked. It was juicy and tasty, perfectly cooked. The fries were hot and delicately seasoned.
We ordered a fresh lemonade and like everything else, it was super fresh.
Looking for a super yummy lunch? Head over and grab a stool or under the umbrella and just enjoy your lunch.

Paulie was amazing! He took his time to explain things to me and it was my first time there. I saw a ad for him online and I couldn’t wait to try the Italian beef sandwich and the Chicago dog and they did not disappoint. It was so much better than I expected and I was expecting a lot. Can’t wait to come back again!
