I had an absolutely incredible dinner at Chicago Cut Steakhouse recently. From the second we walked through the door, the atmosphere felt both high-end and genuinely welcoming, which isn’t always easy to pull off.
Our waiter, Jordan, was phenomenal—he was super attentive and professional, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. It was also great to meet the manager, John, who checked in on us and really went the extra mile to make us feel at home. It’s clear they take great pride in their service.
As for the food, everything was cooked to perfection, but you seriously cannot leave without trying the crème brûlée. It was easily the highlight of the meal and arguably one of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a world-class steakhouse experience in the city, this is definitely the spot.

Went for a New Years Eve dinner with my girlfriend. What an amazing experience. The wait staff was very attentive but not overbearing. Very knowledgeable about the wines and what goes well with what. We ordered steaks that melted in your mouth, great flavor, and very tender. The atmosphere was very lively and it was a little loud but not enough to be splitting hairs about. The view of the city and river was really beautiful. Its the restaurants like Chicago Cut that make me appreciate coming down to the city! Highly recommend two of the pies for dessert the peanut butter and the mint chocolate chip ice cream pie! Do yourself a favor and leave some room for dessert. You will not be disappointed. This coming from a guy who usually doesn’t order dessert…

It’s not often I can say WOW. What an exceptional experience and location! The atmosphere and service set the gold standard for all the steakhouses I’ve been to. Our server was genuine, knowledgable, and accommodating. We were able to sit on the patio and enjoy the summer evening and the perfect view of downtown right on the river!
I can confidently say this is the best steak I’ve ever had. We followed our server’s recommendation and started with the Lobsterscargo, which had flavor packed into every bite.
For the main course, I ordered the Center Barrel Cut Filet medium rare, and I cannot emphasize enough how beautifully tender and delicious this steak was. It cut like butter! The crispy sear was packed with so much flavor I almost didn’t even want to try the sauce with it, which was also mind blowing. I got to taste a bite of the bone in rib eye and the Kansas City Strip and they didn’t disappoint either. Chicago Cut Steakhouse knows their steak, you can taste the quality and care in every bite!
My only wish is that my stomach was bigger so I could try even more of the menu.

I dined at Chicago Cut Steakhouse in Chicago and was impressed by the dry-aged prime steak that had a perfect crust and juicy center, served alongside flavorful Brussels sprouts and truffle scalloped potatoes. The seafood, including Chilean sea bass and scallops, tasted refined and fresh, though I found one cut of steak slightly under-seasoned compared to the rest. ❤️ Beautiful view next to the water! Definitely make a reservation because it was PACKED! Great food! A little loud but very fun. Our food was delicious, FYI most of their steaks only come medium rare (as they should :)) so if you want anything more than that go somewhere else. Customer service was great, it was raining so they relocated us inside easily. This place is more on the luxury side so be prepared to spend at very least $150 per person on the minimum. Great date night vibe, we got our drinks and food EXTREMELY FAST! They have a separate bar and dining area which was a vibe , you could go over to the bar while your party waits for the table without being in the dining room. The bone-in ribeye was amazing , the steaks come in very large portions like 26oz, 32oz and up so they are shareable and so are the side portions, we got the teriyaki green beans and they were ***it was also really cool to see the owner of the restaurant having dinner in the dining room with his family!
