This is an place that serves excellent North Indian cuisine. I’m no expert in Indian food, but I can confidently say that everything I tried was very tasty, and I wouldn’t hesitate to re-order every single thing again.
I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone and everyone who will hear me out because this has to be the best Indian food in the east bay.

We tried Chic N Chop for the first time and absolutely loved it! The food is not too salty or oily and heavy like some of the foods we try at the restaurants. You can tell it is homemade and authentic, which is exactly what we were looking for. One of my favorite dishes was the Dal Tadka!

It has been a long time since we’ve experienced Indian food this deeply flavorful and expertly balanced AT this price point!
The quality (especially of the goat in the namesake curry and spinach in the namesake dal) was exceptional, comparable to what you would expect from a high-end, fine-dining establishment.
The attention to detail in the preparation was truly impressive. It was perfectly “spicy” as well–just like we asked!
Goat curry: We could clearly notice the texture of perfectly “popped” mustard seeds, showing a mastery of traditional tempering techniques. The dish was elevated by finely diced coriander leaves, adding a bright, fresh finish.
Palak dal: The lentil curry was a standout, featuring a subtle but distinct hint of finely diced ginger that tied the dish together beautifully.
The garlic naan–maybe because it was homemade–wasn’t as crisp as the restaurant versions.
All in all, it is definitely a five-star takeout with very kind service as well. I hope the somewhat affordable prices don’t increase too much because it’ll quickly drive us to go to a sit down restaurant instead.

Years ago I ate the best Indian food I’ve ever had from a dear neighbor—this tasted just like it! The owner was kind and accommodating, texting us exactly when the food was ready so we could pick it up hot. We ordered butter chicken with rice and garlic naan, both delicious. Flavorful & spicy, but not overbearing. I’m so glad we found this place—knowing that it’s coming out of someone’s home makes it all the more worth it. We’ll be back!

My first impression was skeptical because of where this food is. But hear me out. This guy makes all of this food homemade. He doesn’t run it out of a restaurant, but out of his home-based kitchen. And it’s delicious!! He was also very friendly, courteous, and respectful. But again, the food was awesome. It had this unique smokey flavor that I’ve never had before. I’m definitely going back again, but this time I’d love to try some of his personal recommendations. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

It was a pleasant surprise to have GOAT Sukha with Chapati. Reminds me of my home town. Excellent quality of food and tastes amazing. Less salty, oily and perfect blend of spices.

The butter chicken was absolutely outstanding. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced — not too heavy, not too mild, just the right balance of flavor. The chicken chunks were cooked to perfection reminding me of Delhi butter chicken.
