Place a large to go order. The flavors are pretty close to authentic. Its been adjusted for the local taste.
The location is tucked in the corner of a plaza and its easy to miss.
The som tum is well made and the curries are good. The portions are a bit small for the price.
I still recommend this restaurant when you want the thai flavor you’re looking for.

You don’t go to Chiangmai because it’s nice or fancy, you go there because you want GREAT Thai food. Food is consistently excellent regardless of cook, and their magical kitchen will have your meal out in 2 minutes, steaming hot! You can tell the servers are experienced, long term employees; they’re friendly, efficient, and seem to know all the usual customers.
Some of my personal favorites are the cashew chicken, pad Thai, vegetable paradise, [shrimp] fried rice, and fried rice in a hollowed out half pineapple. Bottom line… If you haven’t tried Chiangmai, get in the car and go, now – except Monday, they’re closed on Monday.

Great selection of GF items! Weahared the GF shrimp spring rolls. They are always terrific here! You could easily share between 3 people. We also shared the tom kha cup, a 5. The bowl is huge. Even the cup was larger than usual. I had the GF pad thai, 5. Best pad thai I’ve ever had! So much flavor!!!! Hubs had the GF pineapple curry and raved! We were supposed to have leftovers. I dis, but he enjoyed it so much h he did NOT. Always so impressed with this place!

It’s one of my favorite places in Longview! The food is really tasty! I especially recommend the Red Curry and Pad Thai. Just keep in mind that the curry is spicier than the Pad Thai, so I’d suggest choosing a lower spice level for the curry.
The atmosphere is really nice, with traditional wallpaper and decorations. The staff are also very kind and always treat us well. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to order or get the check, but it’s not too long, so it’s totally fine.
Overall, it’s a wonderful place to eat, and I confidently recommend it!

Inauthenic fake thai food. They used the wrong noodle types for the pad see ew, it wasn’t spicy at all, and the brocolli and noodles were half cooked. We got some noodles and they tossed in the mushrooms raw. Also the pad thai is flavorless and also the wrong type of noodle. If you are asian avoid.

Wow the basil fried rice is incredible here – some of the best I’ve had. Tom Kha also very good – great lime and coconut flavor and comes with a side of rice . Pad Thai is a little bit oily but above average. Get the fried rice!!

This is our new favorite restaurant in Longview. Everything we ordered tasted delicious. And our favorite server, Tina Marie, makes our visits delightful because she’s friendly, attentive, and takes very good care of us and her customers. At one point during one of our visits, we met the owner as she was doing her rounds to check if everyone was happy and everything was ok. Great service along with delicious food, as you can tell. The appetizers are very good (try the “Changmai Parades,” which includes their popular appetizers). My favorites are the House Dishes. You get to pick your choice of meat (I like the squid) that is cooked with sautéed mixed vegetables and served with Jasmine rice or you can upgrade to a brown rice. Their Bubble Tea is also very good with just the right sweetness and creaminess. We’ll visit again next tine we are back in Longview.

Went back recently and was disappointed by the service, food and experience compared to 9 months ago. Sticky, dirty seats and tables so was the menus. Soup was ok. Thai basil lacked flavor so asked for some spicy peppers or hot sauce or seasoning, didn’t get much but red crushed peppers, wet not dried peppers flakes and no other spices available to adjust. Tofu was fried up too much so it was dried, chewy. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. See following for comments from last year. Plenty of seating and menu items to pick from. Good service. Food portion is small for the price. The appetizer Thai dumplings fried was not worth it. Shrimp was tiny and barely worth it to put on top. Delicious food but expected more of experience for the price.

The boy waiting tables needs to either get motivated or find a new job. Worst service ever. Food , however was excellent. The shrimp rolls to the duck and baby corn was well flavored and a pleasure for the taste buds. The Salmon and vegetables were just as good.
