As someone who lives right next to Thailand, I can say that the food here is pretty legit. It’s not exactly 100% but it’s pretty close and very delicious. Prices are reasonable considering the restaurant is in the heart of Geneva’s old quarter. I’d recommend the Tom yum soup, shrimp cakes and fried rice. Do consider dining here if you’re craving some south east Asian cuisine. Service was fantastic too – I initially got a table in the middle of the restaurant but the waitress offered to move us to a more cosy spot when it became available.

Very nice and cosy place in the central village of Geneva. Looks like a family run business. Excellent service and good food. Their soups are one of the best and chicken in red curry was out of this world. If you like spicy you should ask them to make it for you. Very difficult to find real spicy food in Geneva. This place can make it but on request only. Otherwise their food is not that spicy but well flavoured. Go challenge your spice buds

Delicious red curry, filling lunch. Had a good time and felt safe being gluten free and ordering.

Happen to walk by this unique place for lunch. Want to try Thai food and to our surpise it was superb!

We had set lunch, Tong Yum soup, springroll, and thai style chicken rice. Fresh, good authentic thai food.

Wonderful services and lovely conversation with the lady boss.

Chiang Mai Thai is an unexpected find in a touristy part of Geneva. (This was a nice change from the traditional affair we’ve been eating these ladt 3 days.)

We were quickly greater and seated, and the owner explained the menu to us in English with recommendations based on our preferences. Everything came out beautifully.

To start, we had chicken satay with a local white wine and Thai beer. For our main courses, my wife had traditional Pad Thai (with shrimp), I had chicken with vegetables and sticky rice, and my son had a spicy pork dish with sticky rice.

Thai food is my favourite food and so I have eaten it hundreds of times, their dishes taste different not like the original ones, and the amount of onions they put in all the food is ridiculous, also their chicken has a weird flavour.. honestly the food in this place was very disappointing,
The only good thing was the friendly asian girl, because the other one, the one dress in black is rude.
Id never go back there

We randomly found this Thai spot, but the food was just okay. It didn’t really wow us, but it wasn’t awful either. Maybe with some tweaks, it could be better.

Oh dear, had a very disappointing green chicken curry. 2-3 out of 10 max. Rice was good, but the curry itself was very disappointing, 6-7 small pieces of chicken slices and a bland and watery sauce without any real flavour. How very disappointing. The only positive thing one can say about the food was that it looked nice, but little more, that is with the exception of the garnish which had a black halfdead sad leaf on it. The service was good and the small dining room nice, but if the food is terrible, it will not save the day.

After owners response
Owner talked back, incorrectly suggesting i had written about cucumbers. They were offended, obviously not taking criticism well (always a bad sign). I have been to perhaps a hundred Thai restaurants, in this one the waiter didn’t even know what a Gang Keow Wan Gai was (not a good sign).

And the owners still don’t get it, and now suggest that i must be bored at work, “wasting my time” daring to offer criticism of their establishment.
Gordon Ramsey normally cuts these type of establishments down to size. Arrogant owners, unable to listen, unable to learn, unable to understand the customers views.
Instead of a delicious Gank Keow Wan Gai, i got a sad, bland and watery curry. The other two guest also suffered the same dish. I could add that the vegetables in the dish were very overcooked (cooked to death), but would the point of that be?
2-3 out of 10, sad as we had high expectations.

Update number 3
Owner removed his two responses.
