I’m so disappointed in this restaurant. I have been going to the Chi-Am Garden for 20+ years. It has always been my favorite Chinese restaurant until today. My son took me out to dinner for mother’s day and I chose here. We drove from Warsaw to get food. Everything was subpar. From the no filling egg rolls to the skimpy sweet and sour pork. I don’t know has happened to the great food I used to get, but I didn’t get it today. There was much breading on the 6 pieces of sweet and sour pork, I had to cut it off. I was left with 6 little dice size pieces. My pork fried rice had 1 tiny piece of pork in it and the egg rolls were flat. They have lost a very loyal customer. I won’t be back until the food changes back. This experience was awful.

I’ve been going to Chi-Am Garden for a very long time now. The food is great every time I go and the prices are great as well!
I highly recommend their hot and sour soup. I have tried this same soup at a lot of restaurants because it is one of my favorite soups, and very very few places have anything like it! Their egg rolls are also great especially if you use the sweet and sour sauce in the restaurant!
I alway have a great meal when I eat at Chi-Am and I always look forward to going there when I am in Rochester.

This is not authentic Chinese food. Egg rolls are not real egg rolls. What i got were spring rolls (cheap Chinese egg rolls). They Forgot my soup. They didn’t balance the container In The bag so by the time I got back to my hotel half the sauce and a couple pieces of chicken leaked out into the bag and made a huge mess. The portions are a third of what i get when I order Chinese food at home. And the fried rice was very dry like it has been sitting a while (not fresh) Very disappointed. And the girl at the counter was a bit rude.

Service has gone down hill over the last few years with this place. Used to love going here with the friendly staff and good food. Now the food is mediocre, service is ok and I don’t speak Chinese but my gosh they sure do argue a lot back in the kitchen. Also if you chose to eat here, make sure you dine in because the food taste like it come from a totally different restaurant when you order carryout.

The food is ok, sometimes there isn’t a lot of meat, just mostly veggies. Egg rolls are pretty good, and so are the crab rangoons. Its kinda noisy sometimes.

Not sure if all the other reviewers have just never had good Chinese cuisine or what, but this place is definitely lacking in taste, decor and staff.
After giving it a third chance, I’d recommend to avoid this place.

Food was not great. I asked for extra onions and the response was “One dollar, two dollar, three dollar?’ Apparently that is how they guage how much onion! Lol. Service was terrible. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the server NEVER came back. Not even to give us our check. Used to be such a great restaurant.
