This was our first time going back for dinner after maybe 10 years and I must say a lot has changed except probably the menu. It would be difficult for me to recommend this restaurant to anyone moving forward. The space is cozy and somewhat welcoming our server was doing well until he decided to lecture us on how we should order our food btw this was as we were about to pay the bill needles to say he still got above 20 percent. Here’s a little advice for folks in the hospitality/ restaurant business regardless how long you have been in it, it would be wise to treat all of your guests with courtesy and respect and not talk down to them even if the guest may have an accent because you never know who you are serving.

This excellent chef driven restaurant is an absolute pleasure to experience! The selections (see photos) were all delicious and the service was top notch! The first was Crab Cake

Avoid this place. Please see the attached receipt. The food, service and atmosphere was good but it’s wrong to bring a customer a bill with a mandated $26.38 gratuity especially when it’s a $121 subtotal which equals 21.8%. A gratuity is an extra amount that the customer always decides based on the quality of service received. 21.8% is outside of the customary.

This was such a disappointment for our 5th wedding anniversary… . The place looks beautiful, perfectly located on a quiet (with cars) yet lively street. Beautifully dressed people all around. We ordered drinks (aperitifs) and they were perfect. The bar is gorgeous. Decided to place our order right after we started our aperitifs drinks, expecting cooking time/ finishing time to match. Starters arrived mid-old fashion. Perfect food pairing….for entrees I ordered the chicken liver salad and my other half ordered the lamb. The salad was straight out of a bag from Publix with (acceptable) chicken livers on top. The lamb was way undercooked, all veggies looked like they had been soaking in the sun more than me today: completely dry. Already terribly disappointed and understanding that despite our waiter’s excellent attention to our needs, our anniversary diner was ruined due to poor food quality and plate presentation, I ordered a crème brûlée as my parents always used to say: “you can judge a restaurant by its crème brûlée”, so I ordered it as a last chance for our opinions to finally form. Couldn’t finish it, it tasted like a flan, nothing like a crème brûlée, crust not cracking under the spoon, no presence of any vanilla, most likely industrial, the alternative being they’re just bad at it. All the bread served isn’t fresh and straight out of the microwave from the freezer…come on…in a French restaurant??! Like, really ?? Any French person would spot that trickery a mile away. So that’s our honest conclusion: location: prime. Decoration: lovely. Service: impeccable. Food: atrocious. I had to apologize to my wife a dozen times on our drive home. Sorry honey, I couldn’t know until we tried… . Giving 3 stars as everything but the food was really nice, but honestly not deserved as if one goes back to a restaurant it’s for the food. That certainly won’t be us

Chez Vincent and Hannibal’s On The Square are both absolutely phenomenal places to go if you’re looking for the highest quality French cuisine. The environment is amazing, relaxing, and the staff have always been friendly and professional. I only have the chance to visit Florida for a couple weeks out of the year, but I always make it a point to eat at either restaurant. This is not a get in and get out type of restaurant, the chef treats the food like an art form and it takes time to create a meal this high quality. Any wait is well worth it, I advise you to make a stop at either restaurant if you want somethjng more. It’s an experience worth the price and the time spent there.

The room was extremely noisy on the left side of restaurant. I met some friends there that I hadn’t seen in about five years and I couldn’t talk to them till after we were done with the meal and leaving because it was too noisy to talk inside and the guest I was with it was difficult to talk with also. The escargot were like little nobby things. Mashed potatoes are very dry either instant or a mixture because they were pasty. The filet mignon sauce was delicious but the serving size was about 4 ounces. It was just a slice of the fillet. It wasn’t a grilled fillet mignon. The attendant had a very strong accent, so he was hard to understand, but he was very pleasant. It was just very disappointing after being there about five years ago to find such a noisy place whereas last time it was such a quiet, romantic place.

Went here for a date night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Food was awesome. I can seriously say the blue cheese lamb burger was the best burger I’ve ever had. The flavor was amazing! My wife had the duck which was also amazing. The service, though… Meh. It was 6:30 when I asked for the check. Guy said he’d go get it. We were hoping to get to the tea shop at the north end of Park Ave before it closed at 7pm. But the guy just started chatting with some other server dude behind the counter and forgot about us. I gave him several minutes before I said anything. Guy had his back to us so I waved to the dude he was talking to that we needed the check. Dude signaled our guy and he finally got on it. Apparently, it takes a while because they calculate everything by hand. He had his calculator out and was writing up the total then brought it over to me. In a rush to get to the tea place, I quickly filled out the tip, totaled it, and signed. But then something didn’t seem right. My wife had the duck ($34) and I had the blue cheese stuffed lamb burger ($20) but the bill was $68. I asked to see the menu again which confirmed the guy overcharged us $14 for the burger which he had listed at $34. Of course, it took even more time to fix the bill so it was 6:47 before I had a chance to sign the new one. Totally wasted our time and ruined our chance to get to the tea shop so I could get my wife the tea she wanted on our anniversary. I get that things happen. Humans make mistakes and we’re forgiving people. But this guy had no hustle and didn’t seem to care about us as patrons of their establishment. They really need to get computers or some better way to handle tallying the bills. And get this guy some lessons on not wasting his and others time.

The restaurant was empty, and its clear why: the food is absolutely terrible. Filet mignon was too chewy to be the true filet mignon cut of meat. The grouper was tough. The lamb was gristly. All of the vegetables were dried out. Even the mashed potatos were dried up. When the restaurant messes up the mashed potatoes, that never a good sign.

Had the most fabulous night at Chez Vincent. The staff was very attentive and really enjoyed our family dinner. I ordered the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back!
