Crepes were phenomenal as always and I order them with a crispy side of corned beef hash that was perfect. The onion burger was also terrific served with crispy fries!
The coffee was hot, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant is an absolute classic.
The updated waiting area is also very welcoming!
I’m half French-Canadian – my blood became part gravy when I finished after taking two sittings to finish
Whether you’re French-Canadian or just looking for good food, it is truly a welcoming place for all. Loved the blue dishware & heavy duty mug too. Merci!
Awesome food happy with everything large portions and great prices.
We will be back! Thank you
Only thing tight park street side small parilor out back.
The food itself was nothing short of excellent — true French Canadian delicacies made with care and authenticity. The poutine tasted exactly like the kind my French Canadian dad makes, rich and savory with perfectly crisp fries and just the right amount of gravy and cheese curds. The crêpes were light, tender, and authentic, while the pancakes and eggs were as comforting and satisfying as a homemade breakfast should be.
But what really made the visit memorable was the nostalgia that seemed to hang in the air. It felt like stepping back in time — to an era when Sunday mornings meant seeing familiar faces, chatting with neighbors, and lingering over breakfast just a little longer. That sense of community, so rare today, was alive and well at Chez Vachon.
Our waitress, Amanda, was absolutely wonderful — one of the best we’ve ever had. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm, making us feel like old friends she’d been serving for years, even though it was our first visit.
We loved the experience so much that we’ve made it a new tradition — returning every Sunday, just like in the good old days. Chez Vachon isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a reminder of what Sunday mornings used to feel like — and thankfully, still can.
