We went there twice and will come back again definitely. We tried the upstairs cafe with our kids(4and 2)and downstairs fine dining without kids. Both experience are excellent! My kids love watching the chef making wood fired pizza, very beautiful. Menu is different every day, all food use high quality seasonal local organic ingredients and freshly cooked the same day. Kitchen is open, you will see how they prepare each course, how respectful they are with the food. I think it’s unique compare to other Michelin star restaurants. I like every bite of the fresh ingredients presented in a way highlighted the original flavor. I also like the wood fired grill. We can’t ask for more with such reasonable price. We left satisfied without overeating 🙂

A wonderful meal. Perfect table to watch the kitchen. Good service. As I said to the waiter, the rockfish course was one of those dishes that makes you realize that you have been making the underappreciated rockfish all wrong. It was an emotional experience.

First time dining at Chez Panisse in the café upstairs. It was a delightful and unfettered experience. The welcome was a touch nonchalant, but the rest of the service was attentive and pitch perfect. We celebrated our 33rd anniversary here for lunch. We enjoyed the Albacore tuna confit, the chicken and pork entrees, and had the berry sherbet and Stracciatella ice cream for dessert. The service was outstanding, the food excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for our anniversary. A great experience!
