I dined with friends who were new to Chez Maggy and impressed with the overall service. Having been there a few times myself, I also found the servers to be attentive and committed to providing a great experience. Although our initial round of martinis had to be sent back, the server promptly replaced them without any issues. She went the extra mile by offering menu suggestions and honestly expressing her opinion about certain dishes. The food itself was good, but the bread was extremely hard, and the trout almandine had an excessive amount of almonds, resulting in an overly crunchy texture. Prices were on the high side, totaling $140 a head for three people. While the service was exceptional, the food didn’t quite live up to the chef’s reputation or the price. It might be worth considering menu revisions, especially since our server also advised against certain dishes on the menu. The dining room is gorgeous and inviting which allowed for a great backdrop for our evening.

Decent food and drinks for a hotel restaurant/bar. We swung by Chez Maggy for Friday cocktails and snacks while staying in The Thompson, and everything was decent and fun! (The bar is a great spot for people watching.) Pricey but that’s expected these days. The drinks were well balanced – nigronis and Sympathy for the Duke. The fresh oysters of the day “from Vancouver” were poorly shucked having lost all their juices, but they tasted light and crisp anyway. The escargot with fresh baguette were a huge hit with us!

Came in for an early dinner after the theater. Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. Food was excellent. Highlights were the chicken liver mousse, spring salad, steak frites, and all of the desserts (of course). Great wine selection with lots of interesting offerings. Very good experience here, I will certainly be back soon.

Wonderful experience! Classic French food with very small twists here and there. The small changes to some of the dishes did not distract from what you would consider classic recipes. The restaurant was packed for restaurant week, but Adam, our server, never missed a beat. He was informative, enthusiastic, and was always there when we needed him. The food was also outstanding, check out the pictures to see what we had. Chez Maggy goes on my “visit again” list.

Amazing experience. Our server Sue went above expectations for our tenth anniversary. Food was amazing, Ive seen reviews stating the crab cakes were like quiche. They were more of a delicate and rich texture, I had the Colorado Lamb and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the omelette topped with caviar, decadence. We will be back to try what ever else they recommend us. Again, thank you Sue and have a wonderful anniversary next month!

Definitely one of my favorite new restaurants in Denver. Worth visiting for a special occasion — or just for a quick stop to try the French onion soup. I originally came here because Chef Ludo Lefebrve is a famous Michelin-star chef and TV personality — but I came back because the food is amazing.

We had a beautiful meal at Chez Maggy. My son and husband started with French onion soup, while I had the crab cake… definitely on a similar level to what we had in Paris. The crab (which I am picky about) was very fresh and the sauce with it was well balanced. I splurged on the sole for a main dish, and it was one of the finest entrees I ever have had in any restaurant…. The potatoes melted in my mouth, and the sole tasted like it just was caught the same day. My daughter’s boulanaise was outstanding – as well as my husband’s steak and frites, but the sole stole the show!

Beautiful modern luxury atmosphere, very clean table. Service was above and beyond. I went for my birthday celebration. We all picked the Butternut Squash Soup for an appetizer. We tried every entree for entree for the denver restaurant week. I really loved Trout Almondine and would absolutely go back for this dish. Chocolate mouse was very rich and delicious for dessert. As for my birthday celebration, they gave us creme brulee with birthday candle.

We had the opportunity to try the Thanksgiving menu at Chez Maggy and it was sensational! Thank you for being open on Thanksgiving. The team was really lovely, engaging and had great insight into the wine selection. The lamb, the branzino and even the sides (sweet potato, brussell sprouts) were delicious and the portions were just the right amount for 2 people. I will say, the pecan pie hit the spot too. Looking forward to trying additional seasonal menus in the future :).

Great service and atmosphere. Classic French cuisine. Had bread and butter for starters, lamb chops and the omelette with caviar, and then the napoleon for dessert. Great Cocktails as well.
