We had mussels as an appetizer, I thought the sauce and the fries were excellent, quality of the mussels themselves was ok.
I had the duck for my main, which I thought was a bit dry. Sides were very well done however.
Portion sizes were generous and great for the price. Atmosphere of the restaurant was fun and it was a unique experience having french food in a bar style restaurant.
I’d come again to try other items but if it’s a cold day out, would recommend to request a table inside the main area, as we were seated in a space near the entrance and whenever the door opened it got a bit cold.
We had chicken Dijon and fettuccine steak, both of which were spectacular.
Very good value for money and excellent service.
The scallops were beautifully prepared, the duck flavourful, and the Croque Monsieur a perfectly executed classic. Each dish felt thoughtful without being overdone. Service matched the food – warm, attentive, and unhurried.
The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, which means seating can feel a little snug, but for two people it worked okay.
Chez Lucien is a gem worth seeking out if you’re in the area, especially if you’re after good food in a relaxed, neighborhood setting.
Just go here. Join the rustle and the vibe. Sit shoulder to shoulder. Be loud, get full. Be taken care of. You deserve it.
Fettuccini Steak is a complex flavour journey. If you’re looking to try something you’ve never tasted before.
I can’t wait to go back.
Some say that the service is not good and needs to wait for a long time for the food, but when we visit, the food comes fast and servers are nice people.
No need to wait if reservation is made.
The menu offered a great selection, and we were particularly impressed with the beer choices. The escargot was a standout—perfectly prepared with crispy, fresh bread and just the right amount of cheese. We also tried the salmon sandwich with fries, which was flavorful and well-balanced, as well as their pasta dishes, which did not disappoint.
This visit left us eager to return and explore more of their menu. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great food and a fantastic ambiance, Chez Lucien is definitely worth a visit!
