Pardon my French
Cute, but the food is really missing the mark; they really fell short of the expectations they set with a name like “Chez les Frenchies”. We tried a handful of “viennoiseries” and pastries: all subpar.
Most recently, we had guests from France visiting for a few weeks and staying next door at the Beekman Tower; they thought they would surely find something tasty at Chez les Frenchies and quipped that a Brioche Doree (roughly France’s equivalent to Paris Baguette or Pret) does a much better job at a fraction of the price!
Only nice touch is they carry Mariage Freres – kudos for carrying such a lovely brand.

I’ve been here twice now & plan to return.
Lovely atmosphere, also outdoor space.
Great sandwiches & croissants. I had a regular coffee & I’m very particular about my coffee, though this was good.
Also had a spinach croissant both times, was awesome.
Service leaves a bit to be desired though there are only 2 servers (think the owners) doing it all & in a tight, though lovely space.
Someone picked up an iced cappuccino which looked awesome & I plan to try that next time.

Perfect French Café, with delicious food! I had the Quiche Loraine. Perfect. My partenaire had a croissant and a thin apple tart. He loved them. I highly recommend this place. Lovely owner!

We have passed by this small cafe several times and finally decided to go in and try it out. When we arrived, there were just a couple sitting. There are only 6-7 tables for customers. I ordered our coffee and a scone. The coffees were very good. The scone however was a little dried out so not too good. As more people came in to sit, it got a little crowded as the tables are too close together. A pretty little place but not for us.

Amazing French cafe! Almost brings me right to France. Great atmosphere and selection. The baguettes are fresh and available. Pastries are tasty and the little cakes are perfect. A must try.

I’ve been passing by this cute little cafe for about 6 weeks, and the smell coming out of it kept on drawing me to it. Till I finally made it in. This cute little spot is a little piece of heaven. The food is not only fresh but absolutely delicious ….couldn’t try the coffee because there was not hot water but for sure I will be coming back more often than not and enjoy a little PEACE, of everything,

Cute place, delicious french coffee. Knocking a star off for two reasons. I ordered an iced americano. The person who took my order and made my coffee didn’t tell me that they were out of ice, and served me a lukewarm americano.
They also pulled the espresso right into the plastic cup, which i hate.
That said, the place has a cute atmosphere with several tables.
