Came here on a Friday early evening and this place was packed. Luckily we were seated quickly at one of the outside tables reserved for those without a reservation.

The happy hour drink and food menus had good choices. We opted for sake cocktail, which was light and refreshing. Not much alcohol, but tasted pretty good. We ordered the fish cake tempuras, fried rice and pork lettuce wraps. All were pretty good and priced reasonably.

Parking validation is available, though you have to follow a 6-step process. See the last picture for instructions. Plenty of street parking, except it’s in a tow-away zone from 3:30-6:30 p.m. weekdays.

Located on King Street, this is my absolute favorite Happy Hour bar/restaurant in Honolulu! Friendly staff, waitresses that provide generous sake shots, and they attentive to all of their guests. I recommend their steak with mashed potatoes, which is served with three dipping sauces. The Japanese omurice is an omelet over rice with a savory brown gravy. My sister loves the cheese fondue with slices of garlic bread(non happy hour). The tofu bitter melon is a unique dish.

This unique gathering place serves quick, tasty, reasonably priced, onolicious food. One of the few places in don’t have to say much about except to just give it a try. I’m certain you’ll like it. ✌️

Chez Kenzo was great! The A/C was blasting, which made it super comfortable inside, huge plus. It’s definitely got a lively bar atmosphere, so just a heads-up if you’re looking for a quiet dinner. That said, the food absolutely makes it worth it.

We went during happy hour and tried a bunch of dishes and everything hit the spot. The standouts for me were the smoked salmon cream pasta, agedashi tofu, and carbonara. Every dish was flavorful and well-executed. Food came out quickly, and the service was friendly and attentive.

I’d definitely come back. Great spot for tasty food and a chill vibe.

We only tried it for happy hour and it was pretty enjoyable! Got the agedashi tofu, Goya champuru, ahi bowl, omurice, and a shaken plum wine sake cocktail. The food was pretty good, and decent sizes for all being $8. The $5 cocktail was solid but wish it had come out chilled or with a big ice block in it. The regular menu has some interesting sounding pasta dishes and natto creations if you’re adventurous, but we’d probably swing by just for HH on weekdays when it’s not too crowded 🙂

*Reservations recommended* Great Japanese/Okinawan fusion bar/restaurant on King Street known for their Happy hour and awesome food

Place can get packed and be a bit noisy so be forewarned. Went during happy hour so got the draft beers on special with the frozen mugs, and orders of the Okinawan Pork Kakuni and Goya Champuru (bittermelon and tofu) Shrimp cocktails and the Chikuwa Tempura is automatic for me. Food sometimes takes a while to get to you when theyre slammed during happy hour but thats no problem for us… Worth the wait

Great place to unwind after a long day of work…. 5 stars

Found this amazing little gem by mistake and the first time we went we were unable to be seated because of how busy it was!! Sooo naturally we tried again!! Let me say the only thing that could be improved was ambiance. It’s a bit loud in the back room where we were sat, having said that it wasn’t unacceptable.

Now for all the amazing. The happy hour is unmatched. The prices have been raised since some of the other pictures were taken but just by $1 mostly. The regular prices are really reasonable. I do with the portions were more consistent and a little bigger.

Pork kakuni was delicious but 3 pieces of pork belly in the first dish and 5 pieces on the second order.

The pork lettuce wraps were okay but again 4 pieces of lettuce and not large pieces. So the portions need to be more consistent and I feel larger.

The antipasto was really good and that dish seemed full but only came with 2 pieces of rolled ham and they were 1 bite each.

The agedashi tofu was really good and had a good amount of tofu with it!

The rock shrimp deep fried was okay, but nothing much more than a shrimp cocktail with some sauce, which was pretty damn good.

The sake drinks for $4 are delicious!!

All in all this place is really delicious and a great value for what you receive. I’ll be coming back for sure.

We really enjoyed this local spot. There’s free parking! Make sure you park in the right stalls (the numbered ones alongside restaurant, there’s a posting on their door)

HH 5-7p. We went on a Sunday at 5pm and got seated right away. There’s indoor/outdoor seating. We got many of the HH menu and one tataki steak off regular menu. My fav was the fish cake tempura and yaki negitoro don! Omurice was so yummy too. We wanna try the rest of menu next time! Will definitely come back! Oh, and the staff is super friendly!

Some foods I think it needs more seasoning but overall. It was good food. Service is good. Staffs are friendly. The place was a little loud but that’s what happens when people drink and are having a good time.
