The food from Chez Elda is out of this world. I don’t live in FL but I was on my way to MIA and I Google a Haitian restaurant and Chez Elda was the closest one so I ordered fried goat tassot with fried plantains and a red snapper with white rice and beans puree. OMG. Listen, I cannot give them 6 stars but I was extremely pleased with the food. The fish was kinda pricey but it worth it because it was huge. I never bought any goat tassot that taste this good. I made sure on my way back I got two to go. I’m definitely going back for the goat OMG. BTW I drive a truck throughout the United States so believe me if I tell you that I rate them #1 in goat tassot.

Always good service and tasty food! I recommend their stewed chicken and white rice with plantain and salad! Ranging between $6-8.

This place don’t know the meaning for customer service. They overcharged my card. Did not believe me when I mentioned it. Mind you I can as very polite and understanding. When I did receive refund it was short. So how is it if I don’t have enough funds y’all will not give me the food but will give me less on my refund and nothing was done for the inconvenience ( not I wanted anything) but the offer would have shown they cared. I which I could give negative 50. They need to learn how to properly run a business.

It’s giving dirty! I ordered fried turkey complete. Why is it griot (full of fat) and a whole plate of plantains instead of rice/ beans. Hell no! I’m not going back. For $16

I’ve been eating here for 2 years atleast 3 times a month . I’m not sure if it because times are harder now or not but the food here is very bad now. I ordered this week and it was awful, paste rice, non salted meat. Before you paid for what you got now you order pikliz and get onions and oil. When you call to complain they’ll tell you it’s the new recipe as if your stupid. The food is bad now and there no respect or care. I’d never hear there again.

Man, the food was nasty, rice taste burn, the fry pork was greesy, the lady in the back didn’t draned the oil off the pork. I found a roach skin in my rice, I thought it was the red Beans but it was a roach. Don’t go to Chez Elda Restaurant on Gateway. Nasty cold food. I ordered again from Chez elda and still no difference. I order a drink and it’s spoiled. The ranch dressing is spoiled as well

I giving it a 4 because I know the food taste good but they say they are open late and they are not. I made an order through DoorDash and my DoorDash had to cancel my order because he was waiting outside the door and there was no one there. It could of been closed or not I will never know but if they don’t open late they should update their hours.

A Haitian restaurant that is opened later than most. I’ve been told by a few Haitian friends that the food is “ok” or “mediocre” but not the best, but I’m Bahamian and the food tastes great to me and the Pikliz are hotter than most Haitian restaurants (to which I love). The only negative for me is the amount. It’s not alot to where you can have some left over for tomorrow’s lunch, like most Haitian restaurants, to me. But they’re open late and definitely will continue to go to get my periodic, late night, Haitian Food craving, fix!
