This food right here is so good! That onion sauce they have needs to be placed in a jar and sold. The chicken kabob was decent but a little dry. However, the last time I was there I had the lamb kabob and it was SOOO good. Their jollof rice is amazing I could def order just that and be satisfied. Their service is so so. The food came out pretty quickly as we were the only people dining in. Trying to get silverware was a little bit of a struggle ans they don’t check in too much. However, the little boy serving us was really kind and had sweet manners.

We stopped by out of curiosity to try some Senegalese cuisine, and wow, we were blown away. We ordered the attiéké and the jollof dish, and honestly, we’ve never had anything so perfectly spiced. The fish was on point, and you could taste the freshness in every single ingredient on the plate.
And the jollof? Say no more, these people got itttt. The staff were polite, the space was decent. Special shoutout to Mustapha, he was absolutely awesome.

I’ve been coming here for years and I really enjoy the food. Today I got tiebue djenne take out, fish fatay and bissap juice. My boyfriend got tiebue yapp and beef fatays. Also with bissap.
I wish I had more fish in my dish. I feel like the portions have shrunk over the years but the flavors are still there.
My boyfriend loved his lamb dish. He raved about the beef fatay. They were a hit.
We ordered take out for lunch. The food was ready within 30 minutes of me calling ahead. They rearranged the chairs and booths since the last time I was there. I don’t quite like the new layout but it’s not up to me. It’s definately an older building and could use an upgrade but I still enjoy the food.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years, but The last time I ordered sometime in December last month and I mostly order tiebou dien..Every time when I call to order, I let them know to do not give me the part of the fish with the head, that time when I called the lady said “we don’t sell fish head”and literally hang up the phone, I was really confused and just asking to myself what just happened… i had that part of the fish before and I just prefer the tail or the body. So I was very confused about how she reacted as if she was offended…I wanted to call back and cancel the order but I didn’t , I never had an issue with them and these are my people , I love them and the food is always good. I will do the tiebou yap next time.

The food was good nothing out of the extraordinary. There is plenty of parking on the street. They have one table outside if you decide to sunbathe and eat simultaneously. But otherwise the inside is nice and cool. I was not a fan of the nems with meat in it thought they had a funny taste but the vegetarian one was much better!! And the meat for the rice was tough.

I was super excited to discover yet another great Senegalese restaurant in the DMV area! Safe to say that Chez Dior is a hidden gem… The food was authentic and beautifully plated.
The mom and pop restaurant hit the mark with all of the usual dishes that you would expect to find at a Senegalese restaurant. Everything was well seasoned, fresh and tasty.
The service was a little slow, and a few of the items that were ordered were never brought to the table – it wasn’t at all a busy time, so likely they just forgot to bring it to the table.
Overall those I had a great time and would definitely visit again.

Good food, no questions about it but place could be perhaps a little cleaner (especially bathroom area). Music from TV should be turned down as mbalax beats can be loud. I was here this month (October 2023) and this review is based on that. I had been here 10 years prior and things were much better.

Visited this place with a small group of friends for the first time tonight. Great service. Our waiter was kind. I got the lamb with Plaintains as a side and also the beignets. I wish the menu had prices lol. But I found the amount of food to be very reasonably priced. Most of the people I was with were able to have leftovers. The lamb was okay but the Plaintains were absolutely amazing (lamb needed more sauce, not just on the side). I would go back just for those! The beignets were really good as well (more like puff puff though?). Im particular about soda and I liked that they had fanta orange (which is my favorite). They had ginger ale and other cultural drinks too (ginger root drink). A small place but it was cozy and unique. [I also tasted the cassava leaves and that was good too].

Excellent for my first time with Senegalese food. I tried the Thiebou Diene, a dish of herb-stuffed white grouper, broken rice, and vegetables stewed in a flavorful red sauce. There was a potent heat and strong savory fish flavor that permeates the entire dish and separates it from run of the mill jollof rice. I loved their Attieke piment sauce which has a fruity habanero/scotch bonnet flavor and powerful heat. To cool the heat, I had some sweet Bissap (hibiscus) tea.

First off, there was roaches on the way into the door, that should have been a dead give away. We waited over a hour for our food and the food smelled but I still tried to give it a chance since this was my first time trying fufu. Once I made it home I noticed the meat smelled strongly tainted. It was obvious the food was only warmed up and not freshly cooked. The plantains were burnt. The food was just flat out horrible I paid 150 for the entire meal and they wouldn’t even give me back half my money for all of the unfinished food, they said it was their policy. I’d advise you NOT to eat here.
