I can said enough of this place , love the food and and the salmon with the onion sup is to die for. Great service and I love when more than one waiter approach the table to deliver food and drinks . that means they are coordinated. ( I was a waiter in the 80s LOL) but we had a great time and my sister love the pace and definitely we going back as they have a great menu and was hard to choose from. Big suggestion: save room for desert. they have a large desert menu!!

This place was recommended to us by a friend at our hotel. It was a bit of a walk but nice that it was on Fifth Ave, so we could stop at shops along the way. The wait to get in was a bit long as they were very busy – about 20 to 30 minutes. You have to stay close as they call out your name when a table is ready for you.
The breakfast itself was okay. I had a cappuccino which was very good. But I ordered the Croque Madame which was not my favourite. I actually didn’t really like it at all but not that there was anything wrong with it, just wasn’t my taste. I think if I had gotten a croissant sandwich I would have liked it more. Comparatively to other places it was a bit expensive (about 300 pesos a person) They have a nice pastry shop inside which looked delicious but their items were also pretty expensive.
The atmosphere was really nice as it’s an outdoor dining area and they have plants everywhere. And the service was really good.

This was my last day here in Playa Del Carmen, and we decided to come here for some coffee and we had our luggage’s and everything. It was extremely hot and the place was packed, but Juan made us feel right at home. Bringing our luggage’s in the coffee shop and letting us sit inside. Not only was he so kind but informed us about the entire menu. As well as his amazing staff, like Clara. They were so attentive and kind and if I ever come back, it’s to come here. Absolutely amazing food and PERFECT service. Thank you guys for everything. Will miss this.

Looking for an outstanding meal at a good price, here’s the place for you. Absolutely one of our favorite breakfast spots in Playa del Carmen! Avocado toast better than anything in the States. Scrambled eggs with a touch of cream? Perfection! Freshly baked breads and pastries with handmade jams to die for. Best of all the service and ambiance cannot be beat.
Many of the staff speak fluent English (at least, maybe other languages) and menus are available in English as well. 5 stars well deserved.

We were here around 11am. The place is extremely busy. People coming in and out constantly. However, we were seated right away inside. It was nice and air conditioned. Our waiter Daniel was great. He brought out the food quickly. Overall great experience.

I had an Americano, mimosa, and avocado toast with added soft eggs and smoked salmon. The meal was delicious, and our server Antonio was so kind. The wait was about 20 minutes, not too crazy. We sat inside which is very loud – music, coffee machines, dishes, talking. I’d suggest waiting for the outside table if you have the time. Also, we noticed you can order quick to-go drinks and bites at the counter!

We loved our breakfast here. We did have to wait about 20 minutes for our table, but it was totally worth it. The patio is big and nice to sit in, with many fans and trees around and with beautiful French songs playing. Our waitress Paulina was amazing! Even with all the customers, the heat, the running around and all, she kept a smile and a great attitude. We loved her too!! The food was very very good. And the price surprised us, being way less than we expected. All in all, a great place for breakfast. Highly recommended.

Chez Celine…the ultimate breakfast experience! Vegan sandwiches with fresh baguettes, fresh fruit drinks, fresh fruits, you really cannot go wrong with this favorite, and one of the few left on 5th avenue worth spending your money at.
If you have not had it …go.
Continental Plus with OJ and cappuccino is beautiful ❤️
I have been having breakfast here since it was $8 with tip for TWO. It is still a top ten restaurant in Playa del Carmen for good reasons!
And the desserts… AMAZING

Before coming to Mexico, I spent over 15 years in France, and one of the things I miss most are French bakeries. I took the opportunity while in Playa del Carmen to visit Chez Céline bakery. The pastries taste exactly the same as in France.
