I ordered “oat porridge brûlée” was wonderful I wanted a larger portion . I’m going to buy a lil flame gun to make at home …
1st wine “Monbazillac”- sweet white
The host/ waiter Emmanuel , was smooth, definitely a keeper , encouraged more food and suggested another wine I could not refuse .
Oh man! Second meal, avocado toast. Idk what toast this is but it’s wonderful! I’m not a tomato fan however the tomatoes were divine! ( the French don’t disappoint with food)
2nd wine “Les crue du sud, gigondas “ hit the spot. Other recommendation was Botinot Les Coteaux , cote du Rhône it was so good I asked them to write it down for me !
Massive crème brûlée portion! It was flavor was just ok for me not sweet inside , loved the crust but massive portion makes it worth getting if you like crème brûlée
I enjoyed my experience. The music and food En plein air was a vibe . They have heaters as well.
Definitely worth a visit if not for the amazing food try some wine and enjoy the customer service .
The interior is beautiful, full of charm and warmth, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The food was absolutely moreish — most of us ordered the duck confit, which was one of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. The beef bourguignon was equally delicious, rich and full of flavour.
A wonderful place for a special occasion — we’ll definitely be back.
The prices are reasonable for this level of quality, though they might be considered slightly expensive compared to general standards. The decor is fantastic. The waiters were very attentive and fast. Highly recommended!
It was full up on a weekday lunchtime, so definitely recommend booking ahead. There is a 12.5% service charge.
We eventually got some one’s attention and managed to give them our order. My wife order an Oat Latte, ham and cheese omelette and she ordered some mushroom and toast on the side (the omelette doesn’t come with toast). I ordered a black anericano and their “Antoinette Breakfast” – their version of an English breakfast with bacon, two eggs of your choice (in my case poached), Toulouse sausage, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, potato rostie and toast.
The coffees were fine and my wife’s omelette was good as was the single portabello mushroom she received. The “Antoinette Breakfast” was fine except that my potato rostie was clearly a frozen hash brown – which tasted more like frying oil than potato – and the streaky bacon resembled 3 dehydrated slugs and my poached eggs where barely runny. When I looked at other guests bacon theirs looked a bit healthier than mine. I’m not one to complain, so ate on. When it came to getting the bill it turns out we were being charged £4 for my wife’s extra mushroom – bearing in mind here omelette with ham and cheese coated £12, and her extra toast was £1.75. We called the waiter over and he was totally embarrassed by the price of the mushroom and removed it from the bill.
Personally I think they trade on their location and wouldn’t bother going back. It’s clear to me that they get enough new footfall they they don’t need return customers..
The Poached Egg was phenomenal and tasty, and the Hollandaise was delicious. It was the perfect horton size. The bacon was my favorite bacon I’ve had in London so far, and the tea was the perfect breakfast choice!
Not to mention, the atmosphere and decor was beautiful! My family continued to rave about how lovely the music was, the pretty inside and outside seating, and the presentation of everything! It was all lovely and we would all dine here again!
P.S. I also tried my sister’s banana and nutella waffle and that was delicious too! She has a health issue that allows her to usually only eat small portions and she feels nauseous when she eats, but she ate at least 2/3 of the waffle and loved it!
