Value. The main take away here is the tremendous value. I had an amazing chicken fried steak with all the usual accompaniments for $16! I would have happily paid $10 more for a meal of this size and quality. Very large tender steak with a crispy breading covered in plenty of flavorful gravy, a mountain of hash browns and a fluffy biscuit served with eggs cooked just right. Little things that stand out are the seasoning of the gravy which has a slight tint to it rather than the ordinary white gravy that usually come with this dish. I don’t know what they season it with but it adds a lot of depth and maybe a little smokiness that is very pleasant. The biscuit is very fluffy rather than flakey which I’m not sure I prefer in general but here it was working quite nicely to mop up all the extra gravy and egg yoke. I don’t know how they can afford to make this delicious meal at this price but hey, I’m not complaining. I will be back every time I visit Joseph.

any place that offers to the big ‘uns, a pound or so of ham(and eggs!).. well it requires a good review. The ham was shaped like a sun, almost perfectly round, and the chef came to check on us and make jokes with the folks. The cashier hit on my dad because he paid the bill.. she could not figure why we would leave our piece of heaven to invade hers, maybe she was just being neighborly. She did say if it stinks I like it. That’s a potential reason we got along. Also, their food didn’t stink, it smelled exceptional, and tasted pretty good too. The people working there were awesome, and didn’t shame me for ordering an iced tea and asking for a refill, or question my choice to eat a pound of Ham for breakfast… I was going hiking! lol, there was a chance at least, and it is responsible to load up for it, this was a great place to do just that.

We are visiting OR and a local suggested we stop by Cheyenne Cafe for a quick lunch. Oh my goodness, we were all blown away by how delicious & plentiful the dishes were, the staff were delightful, and our kids were kindly welcomed. Highly recommend the giant cinnamon roll & chicken fried steak, but everything was great!

Update September ‘25: still great. Even when they’re slammed, and understaffed, great food and good vibes.

Real simple, really good breakfast.

We had to wait a bit but they were very busy. Small place. They do have some outdoor seating. Prices are great. Clean place. Very clean bathrooms. This is a wheelchair friendly place.

Locals come here to eat, no frills foods but fresh. I recommend it highly rather than junk foods.

Nice cowboy breakfast in cowboy portions. The waitress was friendly. Everyone worked hard to make it a pleasant breakfast. The hot cakes are huge. The veggie omelette is delicious. All very reasonably priced. And, hey, some customers ride to the cafe in style …
