The food was excellent. We got a combo plate which came with 2 meats, 2 sides, and 2 different rice dishes. The boxes were packed full and impossible to finish. We had curry goat, curry chicken, jamaican chicken, and jamaican pork. All meats were very good. A word of caution, their curry is actually a little spicy. I like spicy food so it was good for me but it will bite you a little. Also the meat dishes are cooked with bones in them so beware of those. We also got a sweet potato dessert which was awesome. My only complaint is the lack of advertising inside. When you walk in the food is prepped in a hot well, but the glass is covered with images of food so you can’t see the actual food in the well. Also the menu is a little confusing as the combo platter is $14 but at the bottom it also says it’s $17 so apparently the different meat choices make a different price (though it’s not obvious). The guy who served us (I assume the owner) was very polite and checked on us half way through our meal. There is some seating inside and some tables outside. Overall great food and would get 5 stars if they fixed their menus, made pricing more understandable, and let people see the food rather than ugly printouts. I would definitely go back again.

Got there 10 minutes after 11am. The man didn’t want me there…. I almost gave up and left, but I wanted to give the food a chance. The food was great! Got the yellow rice with curry chicken and Mac and cheese, the cabbage wasn’t ready… neither the fried plantains. $15 later I said it was good but will never go back, there’s something about attitude.

Went to Chewly’s Delicious Jamaican restuarant today for the first time. The owner was friendly, the food was delicious and the portions were beyond generous. Truly an authentic taste of Jamaica. We are planning to go back and take some friends. A delightfully Jamaican island tropic culinary experience in an unexpected place.

I have tried the oxtails and curry goat, both were delicious. I don’t like the cabbage though. Weird flavor to me and undercooked. It has the crunch just like coleslaw. The employees are very pleasant. They don’t treat you like you’re bothering them.
