If you want a delicious down home, cooked meal. This is the place. The staff were so friendly, an. Attentive, making sure that our cups were constantly filled. Always asking how we were doing, if there was anything that they could do for us, or if there was anything we needed. There are some places. I wish they could give him a bonus star.Because this would definitely be one of them. So thank you to the staff for making my husband and my first trip. There wonderful.

It was much better in the old location. Whoever the hostess is she was so rude and hateful looking. She doesn’t speak just lead you to your table. The ambiance and decor is just flat. The food was terrible. I got the tenderloin sandwich and side of grits. The meat was paper thin and the grits were undercooked. The burger my friend got the Patty looked like it was store bought and he even said he was disappointed. Then you have to wait about 30
Mins for food. Don’t go here it’s not worth it.

The food and the service is wonderful! My absolute favorite spot and the new location is beautiful! The service is a level that is unheard of today…friendly, attentive and most of all…remembers you and makes you feel right at home. Deborah was our waitress and she is the BEST! So friendly and attentive. Go see Deborah! The food is unbelievably good! The Papa’s breakfast is spot on and the bacon is always cooked perfectly. The chicken salad is the best in town and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Great local spot and you won’t be disappointed in this gem of delicious food and “Rocky Mount charm.”

I was a customer of Chew and Chat before they changed into the new location. They are much closer to my home since moving to Westridge. My wife and I were excited to eat there and once they were up and running we went for breakfast. We should have waited and let them have more time to figure things out. The breakfast took almost 20 minutes from the time we ordered. We watched others who came in later get their food. Finally we got our food the order was incomplete and cold. We didn’t complain we just chalked it up to the new opening. We gave them some time and decided to give it another try. My wife and I drove separately, and it just happened that I arrived first about three minutes ahead of my wife. I went in, the hostess asked how many, I replied two. Even though the place was mostly void of patrons I was told I couldn’t be seated until all parties arrived. I left never to return. There are to many breakfast places just as close. Smiths is only about 5 minutes from home, so is Waffle House and they serve quickly. About 5 minutes.

Do you like to wait? Came in this morning for breakfast and had a 45 minute wait to be seated. When I finally got a table and ordered, I waited another 25 minutes to get 1 egg and 1 piece of toast. When I got my breakfast it was overcooked and cold. The egg was also rubbery. This business moved from their old location, tripling their seating, but still only had 2 people waiting tables and probably had not increased their back of the house staff because of how slow the orders were coming out. If a restaurant is going to serve more people, they need to have the wait staff to support the clients.

The food was pretty good. The lady at the door and the takeout counter were super friendly and made you feel welcomed. The actual food delivery time was a slow. It was a full room overall a great experience.

We decided to stop for breakfast in North Carolina on our long drive to South Carolina. This restaurant had good reviews and listed close off I-95. At first glance, the place didn’t look appealing, but we opened the door and was quickly greeted and seated at a table. The place is small and looks like they mainly cater to locals, but the southern hospitality was in full swing. Our waitress was so attentive, polite, and very friendly. All qualities that you don’t find every day at similar restaurants that we’ve been to in Maryland. The food was good, but the sausage links and patties were a bit salty for me. They looked like they were made in-house as well as the biscuits. I liked the simple menu. It made choosing what to eat easy. It was great to have a real breakfast at a local stop with great service.
