1-word Adjective: Attentive
We’ve not been to this Chevy’s before even though we used to live in Elk Grove. It’s never been a regular restaurant for us, but lately we joined their rewards program and started eating at Chevy’s, first at the one on the River and today at the one in Laguna. This one is pretty happening. We were greeted and seated quickly. Jr. was our server and he was attentive. He gave us 2 heaping baskets of their famous tortilla chips and salsa. My kids devoured them right away, but my hubby really went all out. I came back to the table from washing my hands before eating and one basket was almost empty, lol. Jr. graciously gave us a refill.
We ordered 2 happy hour items which I find very good value, my big kid ordered the Spicy BBQ chicken quesadilla, and my younger one had the beef birria which is my personal favorite.
Hubby had the birthday entree reward from his birthday not long ago and we split the Fajita plate that’s the big one for $30 (kind of pricey for what it is). All the food came quickly and were sizzling hot and yummy. Again the 2 HH were the best. Atmosphere was ok, staff was very busy so maybe that’s why it was a little tense. Bathroom was in ok shape for age. Decor was pretty nice for this location (no river view, obviously).
Overall, we had a good first experience here and plan to be back.

I always stop at the Chevys Fresh Mex restaurant in Elk Grove when I’m coming back from Tahoe…why, because this particular restaurant slams it..Bigley! This time I was up in Tahoe area surveying the Truckee River for big bows for an upcoming springtime trip, and my fishing partner, Claymore Stepbanger wanted to go up to Sparks and get his rod waxed. So off we went..with gusto I might add. Well, we got to Sparks, dropped some coin in the slots, flipped some cards, met some Hawaiian girls, and everyone had a happy ending! And…In all that excitement all I could think about was stopping at the Chevys Fresh Mex Restaurant in Elk Grove for a bigass custom ordered Nacho Grande with shredded chicken! In every aspect it’s a 5 star meal and well worth a two hour drive! ☆☆☆☆☆

Today, we enjoyed lunch at Chevy with our middle son. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted at the door and promptly seated at a table in the bar area. Our server, Junior, approached us with a welcoming smile and took our drink orders. The sodas arrived within about three minutes, and he then took our meal orders.
While the food did take a bit longer to arrive than we had hoped, it was certainly worth the wait. Everything was delicious and served hot. Our server (Junior) was not only courteous but also attentive, frequently checking in on us throughout our meal.

We had such a great experience at Chevy’s! The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The restaurant was clean and had a nice, upbeat vibe. Our server Junior was fantastic — super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. He checked on us just the right amount and had a great attitude. I’ve never been in this Chevys that was so crazy busy that I was in shock, but I have to say we sat in a section with a server by the name of Junior who was so quick he was moving these people in and out and keeps the drink, chips and salsafull at all time with a continuous smile on his face. He’s very kind, helpful and a very diligent server. Thank you Junior for the amazing service and Christmas, we’ll definitely return to your section!!
