Grumpy old dudes returned to CCI on 01/13/26, and were not grumpy anymore after being here. Loved the staff that day and the bar people. Ebb would have loved it but he’s gone, like, you know, old guys go. Here’s some photos. – The old guys pub crawl loves this place. I first came to CB when I was 30. Now I’m 75. Our pub crawl returns to all of our favorite places. Love this place.

I haven’t been to many bars in Lexington but I can safely say this is the best bar in the state. I immediately felt like a long lost brother. The bar tenders and patrons treat the bar like it’s their home. A million inside jokes exist in this bar and they will fill you in on the jokes. Makers is $6 and they have some tasty beers on draft. I seriously contemplated not coming to this bar based on the photos. I was pleasantly surprised once I got here (it’s still a dive, but in the best way). The music was a jazz blues mix which meshed perfectly with the atmosphere. I hope this bar lasts forever!

No politics. No drama. Just drinking, sports, and sometimes music. This is Lexington’s oldest bar. There are regulars and often passerby too. The vibe is friendly and you can bring food in since there is no kitchen at this bar. Great bourbon selection. And the bartender named Jeff is a real great person. Knowledgeable about bourbon too!

Out of this world. You can never have set foot in this city before and feel at home the second you sit down here. Owners are absolutely awesome. Atmosphere is perfect. Drinks are cheap. Music is great too. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

This bar is an institution. Always something happening & lots of fun. Definitely lots of regulars but it still feels inviting. CCI larger is very good!

THIS bar is where bars go to drink. A real bar’s bar. Full of locals who, i’m guessing, have been coming here for year. Personable bartender. Good drink selection. TONS of atmosphere. Easy to find parking. We were outsiders but felt welcome.

Fantastic historic local bar. Very cheap drinks, but take the warning of not touching the bottom of your glass (they have one of those swanky auto-taps). I enjoyed their house lager. They also have a large selection of different spirits of you are into that. The big highlight, in my opinion, are the pinball machines (Aztec and Royal flush. Both older classic tables). The two are only 25 cents a play and are kept in exceptionally good condition. Generally, this bar draws in the older crowd, yet on weekend evenings I’ve found that this does change slightly. Has outdoor seating in the back. Super friendly bar tenders and patrons. A great, cheap historic bar.
