This vibrant and cozy cafe in Lancaster City really hit the spot! We wanted some lunch with flavor and Chevere Cafe came through. Service is friendly and quick. The price point is fair and portions are big. I ordered the Cubano which came on perfectly toasted bread. It did not contain the traditional mustard instead it had mayo ketchup which made the sandwich extra tasty. My hubby had the pernil platter with arroz con gandules and tostones. We ordered the beef empanadas and some quesitos to go – guava and cheese. All of the baked goods, including cake slices, tres leches, flan, etc. looked so delicious it was definitely hard to choose! They also offer fresh tropical fruit juices and fresh coffee including cafe con leche. Tropical sodas are available too – kola champagne, coco rico and others. Great selection! Everything was seasoned perfectly, served fresh and very tasty. There were so many good choices we will have to come back again.

This place is a hidden gem in Lancaster. The food is definitely authentic and has so much flavor. If you’re a cook or a foodie, you can tell that they use good and fresh ingredients. Most Spanish restaurants tend to be on the salty side with their dishes but this place knows how to season food well. The food is properly seasoned but it is not salty. The food portions are a bit small for my personal preference but you’re getting quality food. I had Sancocho with white rice and a Farina on the side just because I wanted to try it. Both had excellent flavor! Definitely coming back to try more thins on their menu.

The food was decent, Puerto Rican food. Unfortunately, the service was a bit off. Some items were forgotten and we had to remind them, and the side of tostones took longer than expected even though the café wasn’t busy. We also ordered a latte but were given a tea instead, which seemed like a misunderstanding. Overall, the food was good, but the service could use a little improvement. 3 meals plus 3 drinks and 2 quesitos came out to $68 dollars.

We visited Chevere Café in Lancaster, PA, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! I had the “El Criollo” breakfast sandwich, and it was everything I hoped for and more. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. We also tried a “Quesito”, and it did not disappoint flaky, sweet, cheesy and absolutely delicious.

The welcoming atmosphere made the visit even better; the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. You can really feel the love and pride that goes into both the food and the service.

I’ll definitely be coming back Chevere Café is a true gem in Lancaster!

The fried pork was exceptionally tender and flavorful, while the tostones were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The combination of rice beans, beef, and tostones was in perfect harmony. The portion are amazing. The service was impeccable, and the desserts were delectable, evoking a nostalgic trip to Puerto Rico. definitely my spot when I come from CT must try this place out

The vibe is really cute and cozy. The women were so nice, the foods amazing and the coquito iced latte is delicious. I never cared for pasteles because of the texture but this one is the exception. 11/10 recommend

Love this spot, and will definitely be back and be telling everyone about it! My husband and I had a beautiful experience at Chevere Cafe in Lancaster, PA. He said it was the best Cuban sandwich he’s ever had! The flavors were on point, and the bread (which tasted like it’s made in-house) reminded us so much of the panadería bread we get in Puerto Rico. It truly felt like a piece of Puerto Rico’

We also had the tamarindo and guanábana juices-absolutely top notch. So fresh and flavorful!

What made the experience even more special was the hospitality. We arrived close to closing time and offered to take our food to go since we knew we were cutting it close. The woman serving us kindly smiled and said, “No te preocupes, come con calma.” That right there? True Puerto Rican hospitality and culture. ❤️

We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

Oh and the decor and appearance was everything! They did a great job with the details and intention!

This place was highly recommended on social media so I was very much looking forward to trying it out and trust me my husband and I left very happy!!! The place is very clean and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Staff were very nice and helpful. I had the iced coquito latte, DELICIOUS!! My husband had their pernil with yellow rice and tostones and I had fried chicken with white rice, beans, and sweet plantains. The food was sooooo good and pretty good portion, we both had leftovers.
