Amazing experience in a cool atmosphere with uplifting music! Greeted and sat right away for dinner on a weeknight at 7pm. We enjoyed some cold craft beers and shared a zippy blackened shrimp and rice appetizer and some stuffed to the brim clams casino packed with flavor. Our server, Ruby, had some wonderful recommendations and took the time to give us her opinion based on customer feedback. Our main dishes were the Pigpen Platter and the St. Louis Style Ribs Dinner. Everything came out quickly, hot, and delicious. Ribs were fall off the bone and charred to perfection in a pleasant BBQ sauce. As people who do not like Mac and Cheese, we wanted to at least try it. Oh my goodness was it rich and creamy with a true homemade presentation and flavor. Cannot wait to return!

I’ve come here once a week for about six weeks now (Not including Thanksgiving week), and every single time I’ve had a genuinely wonderful time.
Never have to wait long to be seated, with our longest wait being roughly ten minutes that we were able to spend over at the bar itself (Will explain in a moment), and an atmosphere that’s consistently warm and inviting.
The food has been, back to back, something remarkable. The first time I came by I was concerned about the prices, but I’ve always walked away from it feeling like I got more than enough (Oftentimes with a little too much, some portions may look small until you actually start eating, then you realize your eyes were acting upon their own hubris.).
The real kicker is with someone who is quickly becoming one of my favorite people: Ruby. Ruby is, despite having to run herself ragged each time I’ve been by, always incredibly nice, extremely patient, and is willing to joke with us and explain things with the menu or events. The main reason we had to wait at the bar for that ten minutes mentioned above is because we wanted to be seated by her. That said, shout out to Amber as well, for the one time we’ve had her, she was also incredibly nice and found my decision to have a rum and coke with tequila instead… Curious but funny.
I could talk about Chester’s Cajun Grill for quite a while, but to summarize it all: Great place, better food, truly wonderful people.
Leaving this at the end; If I had to gripe, and I had to seriously sit and consider it, it’s that the bathroom is very tiny. The fact that I can only think of that should be worth considering.
Love this place, looking forward to going next week.

Heard good things about this place and decided to give it a try. The food here is so delicious. The waiters are very attentive. If you love Cajun/New Orleans type of food, then you will love it here. I will definitely come back soon.

We were passing through town and found this restaurant. I must say that this restaurant is likely top 3 for me this year. The ribs is tender, juicy, perfectly fall off the bone goodness. The cajun flavor (their gumbo, from the ‘kettle’ section of the menu) is just perfectly flavored. Service was so spot on and very efficient. I am a fan and will be coming back.

Service is consistently top notch. I’ve never seen a waitress with so many tables, but then Ruby goes and hits every table quickly and efficiently, so it never feels like it’s too long between visits, and even at such a clip she’s super friendly and makes sure we’re well cared for.
The food is great. We’ve yet to find anything we wouldn’t eat again, after going six or so times. The food is well seasoned, seems to be of high quality, and the portions are quite generous. Sure, some things are around $20, but I end up more full from that than double that from other places, and the food tends to be so so much better.
The decor is very New Orleans without being Mardi Gras all the time. The music choice is spot on, and the whole place never feels over-crowded or too loud.
The baked Mac and cheesy is a treat, and the burger was shockingly good, if you want recommendations.

Went with my family and they were great with a larger group. The food was well seasoned and the portions resulted in everyone taking leftovers home (with a few orders of fried ice cream to enjoy there, naturally).
We’re looking forward to going again and trying different dishes. When they say hot, they mean it. Delicious!

Cool place, buffalo pub through and through. Clams casino is on point, too three I’ve had in Buffalo. I’ve had a po-boy but it really wasn’t a po boy. Not that I was bad tasting. So come for good vibes, come for pub good that’s Cajun adjacent sometimes, and come for clams casino.

Finally stopped by after riding past for a while and wondering about the food. I ordered the grilled chicken breast dinner with baked Mac n Cheesy and smashed potatoes and a side of hush puppies. My daughter ordered the 1/4 lb cheeseburger with gravy and mash. Everything was just okay. I wanted the mac to be delicious but underneath the crusty cheesy top it was pretty bland. The chicken was well cooked, not dry. I mixed it with my potatoes and it was good. I was not impressed by the seasoned rice. The ambience was decent, decor could be better. Overall it was good, but I probably would go elsewhere next time.

The place felt very homey and comfortable like a mom and pop shop in a good way. Overall it does look dated and the service was decent. Our waitress didn’t seem the friendliest and whenever we asked questions about the menu it seemed like it annoyed her. For instance when we asked what is popular menu items. She said everything…..
The food for me wasn’t good but that’s my own opinion I didn’t eat any of my seafood pasta after the first couple bites the noodles tasted hard and the cheese was hard. But my kids and husband loved their food! My husband had the nola jambalaya and really liked it. My daughters had po boy, ribs, and mac and chz bake. We had clam casino and crab cake for appetizer and those were pretty decent. The soda tasted like straight syrup it had absolutely no fizzle to it
I chose to try it out because of the great reviews and because I just came from new orleans a few months ago but this food tasted nothing like new orleans. Sorry it was decent but I wouldn’t go back.

I’ve travelled from Toronto twice now for this place! Not sure how it compares to the south but for me it hits the spot when I’m craving Cajun/creole food. I absolutely love the crawfish étouffée and my mom loved the creole shrimp. My only complaint was the Guinness otherwise 10/10. Service was also awesome, friendly and excellent for one server running the entire show. Will always return/recommend to others
