Great food, happy customers, and a nice bartender cook server who was all the same happy gal. Oyster shooters were great and the beer was cold. 10/10 would come back and hopefully not be as broke so I could tip better (sorry). Cheers.

Didn’t get served. They gave my wife a drink while I was at the atm. 10 minutes later we asked for the bill. A separate person. Took the money for the one drink and we walked out. Love a good dive bar this is not it. Cash only establishment. Last one to leave turn out the lights.

I live overseas and have eaten oysters all over the world. I would rate the Chester as one of my favorite dive bars of all time. Wonderful oysters served by hardworking people in an unassuming manner. Go here for oysters. Period.

Great little bar right off the 101. People were great and the food was excellent. Just what we needed.

The worst fish and chips I ever bought and all you get is 2 small finger food pieces of fish with cheap fries for 16+ bucks per plate! On top of that it was inedible! If I would have looked at it before I paid I would have left it on the counter. The only people that can possibly eat and pay for this slop is locals, I feel sorry for them.

Went there on Thursday for lunch and drinks with another couple, ordered a drink and then had to ask for a menu, but some guy was in there swearing so loud that we felt very uncomfortable, the bartender just stood there listening to him, so we left and probably won’t be back!
